Just got back from town on the first night ive ever been to town on halloween. Bloody hell, arnt people nice! No one is in your face, everyone is happy smiley and quite willing to say "hi, nice costume" Despite falling down the stairs at priory (hey, my mates wanted to go there) it was definately one of the best nights out ive had Every night should be halloween night

Ive heard a rumour that hes removing a section of the forest behind cults (just at the bit where kirk brae goes into the trees) for flats. Those woods are fucking awesome, i would be devestated if half of it turned into flats.

Speaking of laptops im looking for the most basic rubbish laptop i can find for a really cheap price. Only requirements, its quiet enough for a lecture, and it can run Word. Anyone know anyone else selling something along these lines. And i know ebay is probably the first thing on your mind, but theres no way of knowing how quiet a laptop is if i buy from there.

I was distinctly unimpressed by it, although thats probably because i totally psyched myself up for it. There some nice bits, like how the bells on Time come on just as the evil woman makes her first appearance. And Great Gig in the Sky fitted excellently with the Tornado. But i think bits like "balanced on the biggest wave/you race towards an early grave" coinciding with Dorothy falling off the fence was just due to the fact that human beings can make associations between one thing and another really easily. I never said it was bullshit I said it wasnt THAT good.

In several of my law lectures so far, up to 20 people have walked out because they are in the wrong one. Anyway, going to my own lectures is difficult enough. Why would i go to another one when the alternative is going to the pub?

You gotta watch out for these things They offer what looks like a decent spec at low prices. The truth is they use sub standard parts. For example, it doesnt tell you the speed of the DVD re-writer, nor the RPM of the hard drive. The brand of memory they use can often be important, as cheap rubbish brands wont perform as well as other brands with the same megabytage. The monitor could have really rubbish response time, which would mean, in basic terms, that the previous image on the screen would be there for longer. To put this into example, it could possible cause the mouse to leave trails, and watching DVDs or playing graphical games could be a lot less sharp than a good monitor. If you ask me, its worth investing a bit of money into a good PC. Spend a bit more and it will last you longer, not to mention being better to start with. edit: Although stupid as i am, i didnt read what you would actually be using it for, so i guess it would be just fine for what you said.
