  1. Anyone heard of Polysics?! I saw them in August at a music festival here in Nippon and it was insane and hilarious. They're pretty damn catchy! Check em out on myspace, youtube, etc! Just thought I'd throw the recommendation out there. If they ever come to the UK someone should definitely try to book them for Aberdeen! xx
  2. 10easywishes!!! forget semis...they give me a full on boner!
  3. Listen to Low and Godspeed You! Black Emperor
  4. im pretty sure that the records will only warp if you use stupidly hot water. my ex-boyfriend made a cool "broken record" fancy dress costume by warping old records in boiling water. another friend of mine said his dad always washed records with soap and warm water to keep em in good condition. my dad uses a wee velvet brush like the one pictured above
  5. whats interesting about it is, he's practically shoved his head in crocodiles mouths before and poked deadly snakes with sticks and the thing that finally tops him off is something which is relatively unheard of in australia, according to some sources stingray attacks are totally rare. shame though, he was very entertaining, total risk taker, potentially a little mentally unstable but in the best way possible, made for good viewing!
  6. Aye, shame I'm in Japan. Don't think they'll be coming quite this far.
  7. Gutted! No more dancing our socks off til we`re dripping with sweat! I will miss those gigs!
  8. see now you've taken it too far, hehe, I don't really "get" terms of genres and stuff....."jazz" "funk" "rock" "pop" etc is about as deep as I get... SORRY see if you can track down some mp3s, take a listen and then you can tell me if he is a fusion-jazz player
  9. Went to a jazz gig tonight in the city where I live in Japan, as part of a jazz festival which is taking place this weekend, and I happened to stumble across an awesome artist. I've never been a huge fan of jazz but this guy was awesome. Very funky sort of jazz rather than wanky loungey jazz. If anyone is interested, his name is Sugimoto Atsuhiko and you can check him out at www.sugimoto-a.com
  10. that's well cool. walker dam is right by my house. it is nice ewan cameron is my brother, but i dont think he played the fiddle or the mandolin on this album!
  11. does anyone want to recommend some bangin japanese bands/artists that would be worth my while checking out while i'm over there? a brief description would be appreciated... cheeeeeeers x
  12. Apparently not....would be the generous thing to do....
  13. wow i hope you win and then you can take over the world

  15. my friend at work told me yesterday that her boyfriend throws out all his cds every six months so that he has an entirely fresh cd collection! this disturbed me somewhat. I can't think of anything worse!!!! what does everyone else think? is there any logic to throwing out cds?? i don't understand why he doesn't just put them away in a box if he wants to listen to new ones. at least then somewhere down the line he'll have a nice big cd collection and he'll get to listen to stuff he hasn't heard in AGES! it just seems like such a waste! why oh why would you want to throw away music? the worst thing about it is, there is one cd he has never thrown out, but kept the whole time......the dirty dancing soundtrack!!!!!! i think my friend has reason to be concerned....
  16. boobs ARE pretty ace..... what you talking about? reformed man?? you still love the boob chat.........
  17. haha! that some sort of dig? i would really love to go, not sure yet though, have a feeling a have a prior engagement which i committed to a LONG time ago! we shall see.... i do LOVE idlewild, so this could be a pretty awesome gig
  18. i bet he said at least one of the following things: "c*nt" "I'm going to rape your mum" "I'm going to rape your c*nt with a knife"
  19. the thing is, you see, i can't access those sights when i'm at work. however i can access this site! and what is the point in having forums like these if people can't ask stupid questions, help each other out, and discuss said gig/event etc... thats what the forum is here for...its not exactly rocket science
