  1. Wow. Just... wow! haha It amazes me when people do this. You've basically committed marketing suicide on the very forum (and in the very thread) people will look for when trying to find a place to record. Coming onto a forum and saying that you offer a high quality service is quite acceptable, hell, it's intriguing and breeds confidence. Especially if you've got the work behind you to back it up. However, coming on and saying you'll offer a good service and saying why you'll give a better service than any other place in Aberdeen, then stating your "facts" as to how your competition is so bad... well... mind.blown! I don't get why people get like that. Admittedly, I can be a cock, but I'd much rather help other engineers than slate them. I know a couple of guys in Aberdeen who do really good stuff. Dan Goldsworthy and Nick Scholey do good work. I've learnt a lot from those guys and we've talked about mixing/production at great length. People in the same line of work should be friendly. It's all about lining up contacts and finding work. I know if I was super busy doing stuff (which is unlikely up here) I'd recommend another guy who could do the work and get good results. You'd never be on that list because of your stinky "holier than thou" attitude. And no, I'm not in any Aberdeen clique!
  2. He's touching the boob! Lucky Son bitch!
  3. The drummer I used to play with broke sticks a lot, cracked cymbals and rim shot every snare hit. Technique is the key. You can hit hard and not break sticks. If your sticks are fraying in the middle, I'd look at the angles of your cymbals as well. Lean them in a little bit more towards you, don't smash the edges of the cymbals... stroke across them (this thread is filthy) and you'll likely get a bit more stick life.

    Selling stuff

Yup. I'd had this advertised elsewhere and just copy/pasted. Everything but the triggers is sold. The delay is on hold for you.

    Selling stuff

Selling some stuff as I'm downsizing my rig. Selling (postage included): MXR Phase 90 40 SOLD Line 6 DL4 120 HELD EMG 81 & 85 with Solderless kit (2volume/2tone pots) 105 SOLD Roland Kick and Snare triggers, 40 each I'm a bit negotiable on prices, but I think they're pretty decent, and they are inclusive of postage fees. I have a box for the DL4 but not for the other stuff.
  7. His work here is dunn..
  8. I'm not after the mic, but if you're still looking for a DL4, I've got one that I can sell you.
  9. I find it funny that people are willing to spend loads of money on guitars/pedals/shit they don't need, but when it comes to an amp.. the part that probably has the most defining impact on their sound, they won't spend a lot of money on it. Good guitar into shit amp still sounds shit. Shit guitar into a good amp will still sound halfway decent. Save up the cash and don't be a faggot. I got my 6505 head for 560 second hand. That's almost double your budget, but it's a USA made tube amp that's reliable and loud as fuck. Also has all the gain anyone could ever need. A good 4x12 will also make a difference. If you've got a Behringer cab or something equally shit, don't expect epic results.
  10. I never lol'd... I vomitted. Bonus points?
  11. I'm free most of the time... But I'm up in Thurso. I can post them to you on Monday as they're currently in my Les Paul
  12. EMG 81, 85 and solder free kit - 100
  13. I'm more partial to a --0--0-----0--3--0-----0--3--0-- But you know... different strokes
  14. Plus, we all know that tone has a lot to do with your hands

    Your current read?

Currently reading Jenna Jameson's book, which is certainly interesting.. haven't even got to the porn stuff yet. Got Andy Goram and Robbie Fowler books to read after. Read the Dalglish one not so long ago, was very interesting.
  16. Even if I do, which I suspect I won't, then I've still got my Peavey
  17. It most definitely is. Not in a band anymore though so I've got this and a 6505 sitting doing nothing. I only got the 6505 a few months ago, so I'm keeping it.
