Can't believe I'm bothering to bring this up, but wasn't Castle Greyskull where He Man lived rather than Skeletor, Stinkor etc? "by the power of Greyskull" etc It did look pretty evil though, I'll give you that.
  3. That "Knorkator" one has to be made up. Either that or they are taking the piss. Facial expressions are priceless.

A lot of my mates call them "the horribles" but I call them "the unmentionables".

Tedious posting man - what is this? like school or something
  6. Sheffield United did seem to take things too far last season, and i doubt there was ever any realistic chance of their relegation being over-turned, but (and this isn't a rhetorical question) isn't a deduction of points the normal punishment for playing an ineligible player?
  7. Eddie Large in the regression therapy programme was hilarious - "what kind of clothes are you wearing wee Jocky Campbell?"...."old clothes". He must have been on a wind up, surely? But the "expert" had the gall to say he'd given us a fascinating insight into a remarkable period of history!
  8. Unless of course tonight's programme throws up any more evidence as to whether he's a twat. But even then everyone seemed pretty much agreed that he is a bit of twat, but that shouldn't be a barrier to enjoying what he has to say. Personally I couldn't care less if he's rude to people at Endemol - I'm sure they are used to working with much worse than him by now. Anyway thanks for the heads up Clav Divs - I'd forgotten about this.
  9. Ah! ok - no point going over this old ground again then.
  10. Yeah, tell us more. How much of a twat? Like Mondragon, says when you get to a certain age (a long long time ago in Mondragon's case) you realise that just coz you are a fan of someone's work don't mean they are a nice person...so what has Brooker done or said that has soured his work so badly?

  12. I care God Damn it! I care about a chocolate bar I didn't realise was gone, but now is back. I may not buy one again but I CARE. If that's a crime then lock me up and throw away the key.
  13. I didn't actually realise the Wispa was gone, but I'm glad it's back, particularly if they re-introduce Wispa Gold - it was a damn fine bar. I thought Fuse was pretty under-rated.
  14. Ah! Cheers. The Fall's version of Lost in Music is ace, and very funny, too.
  15. Eh! I've always thought of that as the Smiths' worst song by some way. It reputedly played a big part in Johnny Marr leaving the band. I heard the original version by Twinkle was fantastic though. There's an excellent soul version of Cream's Sunshine of Your Love with a female vocal (I think) - anyone know who it's by?
  16. What's fidget house? - sounds amazing
  17. Aye, it's a good boozer - the jukie had Richard Marx "Hazard" on the other day - that brought back the memories. I think it was the jukie's own choice - no-one had been near it in a while.
  18. I took part in a two minute silence for the Tsunami victims soon after it happened. It was during a work meeting and i made a bit of a twat of myself by complaining that I thought it was over the top and stuff like that. What I meant though wasn't that i didn't feel sympathy for the people affected, but that people should be able to decide for themselves which disasters they feel are worth commemorating and do it in their own time, not be dictated to as to which warrant commemoration and which don't. The only valid scale of how important each death or disaster is is how an individual feels about it - the most pertinent recent example of this probably being Diana Spencer where the whole country seemed to be expected to shut down. To then add a hierarchy of different lengths of silence is just plain ludicrous to me.

Aye Black Lips are well worth checking out. Mind you the last act I can mind attempting to marry hippy and punk asthetics was Sandi Thom! - thankfully that's where the similarity ends.
  20. Wish I could make this, but unlikely to be in town - you never know though.

Jesus, I see you've got a 'tache but you can't be that old can you? Anyway what's an "anard bag"?
  23. Fair enough, just that I enjoyed your spirited defence of Wilson & JD. For you to then tear it down.....it was on a par with.....John Lydon appearing on I'm a Celebrity Get me Out of Here.
