  1. Hey, I work with rats and know a few people who have had them. They make really good pets! My friends rat would chase objects, fetch tennis balls and collect plastic bags! All rats are different though, some will love playnig with toys whilst others won't be bothered by them. I'd recommend one of the bigger hutchs with various levels and a little house for them to hide in- maybe 2 separate ones?
  2. better then nothing I guess, thanks
  3. I'm taking a year out of uni to get work experience. The company is employing me as an "industrial placement student", and do not expect me to pay council tax (this is reflected in the pay). However, as my course co-ordinator is pretty lazy and didn't organise any industrial placement courses for our class, I had to find this job and sort it out myself. As I have done this independently I will not be considered a student for this year, and therefore will need to pay council tax. There is another girl from the same uni who is going down, except as the uni helped her out with her placement, she is still considered as a student for the next year, all the people I shall be living with will be considered as students, infact as far as I know, I'm the only one out of the 80 students who need to pay council tax. I've been told I will have a discounted price to pay as I will be living with 3 students, but I have also been told many other stories about what I need to pay and I don't need to pay, which all contradict themselves. I looked on the website, it wasn't very helpful. Anyone wanna shed some light on whether I'll need to pay the whole price (and live off beans on toast for a year!) or I get discounted, or somehow convince someone that I have the same rights to being a student as everyone else
  4. I missed the second last episode as there was a "techical fault" and so it didn't record :'(
  5. My bunnies live in a mansion which also has a run attached to it and on sunny days they hop around my garden with my bunny friendly(ish) doggy, give me Chicken! she'll have fun with Brodie and Fangz! Remember how I wanted to take her out to play with her when I visited and wasn't allowed Also, when me and Laura stayed it took us ages to get to sleep cus the smell of pee was so bad Plus, last time we stayed, we kept in your room for the whole evening whilst her and her boyfriend sat and watched TV in the lounge, we didn't disturb them at all! AND we took her bunny treats! I say if her mum and dad don't change their minds that you don't say anymore of it to them and then we'll come stay and they will never know!

  7. I remember when I did it last year it said in the rules " no beds allowed" gutted. It was fun last year, I am too lazy this year though. I shall be watching and cheering on my daddy and brother(s) I laugh at you Ryan when you crawl across the finish line (actually, I shall hang my head in shame that I didn't do it)
  8. The conveyer belt is like a large pair of scales You need to put the item on the scales and it weighs it to see if it is the same thing you have scanned. Also, there is a computer with someone watching all your stuff you buy
  9. I prefer self service check outs The Tesco in Danestone always has a person standing there ready to help/check your ID/check you aint stealing stuff Because people don't really use them then I find it alot quicker and simpler to put my stuff through and go Watch out though, they tend to screw you over when giving change o_O
  10. I went to Glenshee on Thursday, so much fun! My muscles in my neck still hurt though from falling face first so many times Hopefully getting to go up again soon

  13. I'm currenty taking snowboard lesosns, I need to where a helmet. When I first snowboarded I didn't wear one and it really does hurt catching an edge and smacking your head. The helmet I wear is an Aberdeen city Council one, though it does the job, I can't imagine it is very fancy. however, I don't find it restricts me from doing anything. I think they look quite cool, especially if someone is wearing a cap or another hat underneth them. Being a beginner also, i don't knwo too much about the actual helmet (except you usually are just paying for the label) so perhaps thats whats missing? Information. I think it should be compulsary to wear a helmet on slopes, I know it would be really hard to make sure everyone wore one and thats proabbly why its hasn't happened yet. But if it did happen, it wouldn't be seen as being "dorky", alot more would be known about them and the different types and it cause alot less serious injurys.
