Last exam on Tuesday so I have sadly spent the sunny days revising. Also had two shifts at the Illicit Still over the weekend which were shite as it's a bloody cave so I didn't get to enjoy the sunshine. Roll on Tuesday afternoon, the weather better stay good.

They could, you know, do what the evil 'middle class' do and only have as many kids as they can afford to feed and house in a suitable manner. God forbid they show some responsibility and only have 2 children instead of 4 if they can't afford to house another 2. Nah, it's fine, just bitch until someone else improves your avoidable circumstances for you. Class as a discussion is still valid in Britain, class as an excuse is just like any other excuse, a lazy way to avoid actually doing something.

The service is was pretty shite last time I was in having a meal with my mum and sis. One of the waitresses at the Illicit Still (where I work) worked there for a few weeks but said that they don't treat the staff very well and the kitchen is happy to send out sub-par food. Which may be why they can only hang on to 16 year old chavs as waitresses now.

First exam on Thursday, second year Microeconomics. Can't say I'm looking forward to it...

Have to work at the Illicit Still tonight, no doubt I will be forced to wear a Santa hat and act like I want to be there. I'll feel in the xmas mood as soon as I step out the door once we've closed up.

Think we're open 7pm-12 midnight on xmas day. I've got the day off so i'm not 100% but we're defo open around those times.

There was a guy in one of uni classes last year that wore a hat (one of ones the fallout boy guy wears all the time, I don't know what they're called) that had straight edge written across the back at the start of the year. As the year went on he seemed to accumulate more and more straight edge clothes and bags. He had nike ID shoes (the ones you can get your name on the side of) with xedgex on them. The urge to punch him in the back of the head nearly got me a few times. All the straight edgers I knew just used to have the X on the back of the hand at most. This guy was a billboard, no one cares that you don't drink/smoke/whatever. You are not unique.

For Aberdeen Uni, inside the Hub (our food court/coffee shop place) seems to be the best spot, there are also some glass covered flyer boards that advertise club nights but those may be for Student Union endorsed things only. There is a alley between the high street and the road the Hub is on that seems to be a poster free for all. Note, I don't do any promo, these are just place i've noticed while going about my day.

Same. The 6 cell Windows version is out in the states for $400, wish they would release it over here already.

Google has been searched extensively, no luck it seems. If it makes any difference, I got the phone directly from 3, had a 12 month contract with them before this and they gave me a phone upgrade when I renewed to the 18 month. I'm considering checking if I could just lower the contract to a much lower tariff a month, a fiver a month is easier to ignore than 25 but I have no idea if this is even possible.

The problem: I've got a contract with 3 that still has 12 months on it (18 month contract) and I can't get any signal on my new road/in my house. It's getting to be a bit of a problem as I don't receive texts until I leave the house and no one can phone me on my mobile when I'm at home. Borrowed a few 3 phones from friends to check that it wasn't just my handset and their phones got no signal here either. Vodaphone and O2 both have reasonable signal here though. 3 customer support are no help, they say I can send in my phone to be checked, which is a massive waste of time and leaves me without a phone for a few weeks but that it isn't their fault that my new road has no signal. I know phone contracts are very hard to get out of so what do I do? I cant afford to buy myself out of the contract nor can I afford to pay for a useless phone for 12 more months.

I listen to the aforementioned LCD Soundsystem/Nike playlist as well as the other Nike commissioned playlists, all pretty good. This thread just reflects how old everyone on this board is now. Cheer up, Halloween is a bit of a laugh. I shall be working this year sadly but my manager at the Illicit Still has informed me that costumes are compulsory and I'll probably go for a few drinks after work anyway. All my good ideas would have hindered my ability to take food orders/pour pints so I shall be taking advantage of my ginger hair and going as Lt. H. Wales (Prince Harry), army gear and all. Bit lame but I can work in it.

In the mens game you can run as far as you want with the ball but it's generally accepted that the fastest way to get the ball up the field is through a series of clearing passes so you wont often see a single player run up the whole field with the ball in his stick. The rules are quite complicated and I'll admit that it's difficult to watch unless you've actually played the game. It's great fun though, helps me get my contact sports fix now that I no longer play rugby.

Turned out all right in the end even if it took a day of work, bought blue T-shirts in New Look, there was a 3 for 10 deal (Primark only has navy or turquoise t shirts). Then went to PC World and got iron-on printing paper, found a logo on the net and printed them myself. Total cost of each shirt was 4 and my lacrosse team made a rather dashing group of Clark Kents.

Random question I know but..... Anyone know somewhere where I can acquire around 20 blue Superman T-shirts before Wednesday (so not an online shop)? Preferably cheap. Cheers in advance.

As far as the Illicit Still goes, we don't open until 12 most days and you no longer get a free pint with the breakfast, you do however, get a free coffee, tea or orange juice with it... ....it's just not the same is it. The breakfast is pretty decent though, have it during my breaks sometimes.

My freeview box at my new place doesnt even pick up the BBC channels or Channel 4, only Five, Fiver, Five US, UKTVhistory and Film4, piece of shite. Annoying thing is that I'd happily pay for Sky but my new house is listed so I can't get a dish installed. Weird thing is I got great freeview reception when I was at Hillhead halls (just live round the corner from there now). Anyone know how to improve the situation?

Basically I need some help from folk who have uploaded websites before (any experience uploading onto Aberdeen University servers would be a plus). I've made a website for my sports team using Dreamweaver, got the login details from the Uni and I've uploaded the website onto the server. When I tried to access the website through my browser I got the message that I didn't have permission, I then changed the permissions of our folder on the server to read write and now I'm getting a message that the pages do not exist. I know next to nothing about websites so I'm a bit stuck at this point. Not sure if I uploaded the files incorrectly, if something is up with the server, if I'm entering the wrong urls to get to the pages I've uploaded or what. I can see the files on the server using an external ftp client if that makes any difference. Also uploaded this Flash Slideshow with Flickr Integration - FlickrViewer 1.2.3 and can't access it either. Any help on how to get this sorted would be greatly appreciated.

Hey all, Selling an American Deluxe Telecaster with S1 switching in mint condition as I hardly play it anymore and I'm moving to a new place and need to unload some of my gear.
