  1. Megadeth have certainly had their fair share of going astray. A lot of people think that Risk and World Needs a Hero were pretty tame and shite, I like them, but the last two albums they did were crap I thought. They sounded like Megadeth, but a total rip off of their old stuff. At least this new album feels like a proper band again and is way better written.
  2. Yes. I wanted to hate it, but I don't it's pretty fucking decent. The opening instrumental is a belter and there is a whole lot influence from the Cryptic Writings/Youthansia even World Needs a Hero albums, which is a good thing. Chris Broderick is amazing and Dave's lyrics aren't total shit this time around either.

    Excellent joke Tomas.
  4. I used to work in Somerfield at the same time as the the guy doing jumping jacks and he once attempted to clean up a smashed jar of mayonnaise with a dustpan and brush. Nice to see he's being a bit more useful these days.
  5. I like to think I would have done that one eventually.
  6. So is it a dainty wee girl, or a stra... nevermind
  7. Yeah they were the last band I caught at Download, solid bit of fun. Agreed the new stuff is not that interesting, but they do have some classic tracks.
  8. FUCk i thought this was gonna be next monday for some reason, re-organise, re-organise
  9. Hello. Does anyone know any magazine/publications that quite actively accept article submissions/unsolicited material, you know... I need to submit more stuff for a writing course I'm doing and I'm running out of ideas. I've done a few musicy things but am just looking for general interest magazines, or maybe computer/technology/tv/film/humour ones that are looking for pieces that aren't just reviews. I'm not interested in womans interest and cat magazines... yet. Thanks in advance.
  10. ..used to have one of these. Gorgeous.
  11. thats funny, I used PC Tools Spyware Doctor yesterday to try and get rid of a rather nasty infection on my PC and it's presence completely stopped Chrome from working.
  12. Yeah, excellent british metal band, get em.

Why did the condom fly across the room? Cos it was pissed off.
  14. Yeah, surprisingly good and actually sounds like Alice in Chains.
  15. Anastacia - Left Outside Alone
  16. Steel Panther were brilliant at Download.
  17. I'll agree with that. They even butchered Master of Puppets to fit into their usual tempo and EVERY drum beat goes: Dum.....chi.....dum, chi But seriously, Faith No More were my band of the weekend, Patton was just fantastic, great, great vocalist. Opeth were as great as usual, Dream Theater were great and I'm very glad I couldn't choose between Slipknot and Prodigy and went to see Anvil instead, very entertaining. Limp Bizkit were fucking awesome too and I don't care who knows it.
  18. Well it was a cracking gig, Valient Thorr were surprisingly entertaining as well. Only just back cos my car broke down TWICE on the way back, costing me and arm and a leg in breakdown charges and then my friend a lot of sleep.
  19. So... can we just make stuff up about you?
  20. Yeah, just looking at the set list from Manchester, looks brilliant. I've listened to Valient Thorr's newest album, they are pretty entertaining. Bit sort of classic/party rockish, but definitely suit the opening slot, somehow.
  21. Anyone going to see Mastodon tonight?
