  1. Don't know if we are on it or not but you can find The Midnight Noise Collective at p.whalley@btinternet.com or through myspace at www.myspace.com/midnightnoise
  2. My experience (which has included 2 replacement ipods and a good few repairs) has meant that the only people who touch these things are apple themselves. If you go on to the Apple website (UK) one and go to support, you can arrange for a repair to be done. They send you out a box and collect it and the works, you dont pay for it either (as long as it is in warranty) Usually had mine back 5-7 days after pick up.
  3. As I said Im trying to get as many jams going as I can... All Iw as meaning is that vox and one guitar (ie me) and a bassist (my co-conspirator) are the only people that are fixed... the rest is where we weill hopefully get a chance to hear as many folk and many different styles.
  4. All depends I have bought from the states and had goods delivered via DHL and have not had to pay any duty. Yet I know people who have had to. http://www.soundonsound.com/forum/showflat.php?session=e3e9948ec63b8a5f09bb929291b2bc9a&Cat=&Number=331014&Main=329812
  5. Im not too worried about age... Although I guess 16-17 would be about as low as I could set the limit. Provided you can play drums reasonably well... If you are good enough you are old enough in my book! Plus just now its just about getting chemistry right... so a few jams allows people to decide if they want in or out, without there being any pressure. So I will give you a shot when I start organising the jams... Everyone feel free to keep registering interest...
  6. Some odds and ends... Am looking to build material from scratch, particularly through jams. Although I do have some things set aside for this. At the moment Im just trying to whip up some interest... And see what interest there is out there. Have a busy August ahead, and after that I am pretty much free... Sorta End of August onwards...
  7. Nay really into covers to be honest... Will be all original stuff, and those two bands, as much as they are bands that I think are cool, Im already in a band that does that kind of stuff.
  8. Drummer, Keyboardist or Guitarist? (Not Metal...) Hey folks, Im looking at putting a band together... Been in a few bands up here covering a few different styles and im looking for something different, and something a little more prolific and constant. Looking for solid, imaginative and committed musicians (Age 18-24), Experience preferred but not essential. Interested in the styles of Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd, Muse, AC/DC... Just nothing too jazz, to techno or too punk! And I certainly am not looking to add to the plethora of metal acts existing and on the way in Aberdeen. A mix... in a good way! Got bass, 1 guitar and vox sorted for a jam... The rest is up to you. Interested parties reply to this post or pm me! Over and out...
  9. There was an article about this on bbc the other day... I know the genuine thing apparently is being sold, although I dont know if thats the site or the place thats actually selling it or a fake.
  10. Israel in the last few weeks have done nothing to justify their campaign as being in defence of their national interests and their reactions to kidnappings (of course they have a right to action and anger at these incidents) have been completely disproportionate across the board. That applies both to their actions in Gaza and their actions in Lebanon. That pic of the Red cross says it all really... This UN story tonight is exactly where this campaign was headed.
  11. For me the Les Paul Standard rocks... I love the sound, the weight and the look... Ive never had any problems with them, and mine is built like a tank.

    Bass Amp or Sale!

    Whats the easy repaired problem?
  13. To be honest dont really care who the support are... For the sake of half an hour. Anything can be better than The Needles performance in Glasgow couple of years back, or Elbow that day as well actually.

  15. The gig has been confirmed and is happening... presale link is meant to go out to fans late tonight/early tomorrow
  16. Snooker is 21 Oct 2006 - 29 Oct 2006... I have my ticket for that. So I dont think there is more snooker on the 6th November. The only other snooker date is the Premier League night which is the 23rd November. Small bit of info for ya all: Tickets on sale for muse on Friday.
  17. http://www.aecc.co.uk/museinconcert.aspx Says the 6th November...

  20. Dont suppose you have any of your ideas or songs recorded in some form to hear them do you?
  21. Hey folks, Im looking at putting a band together... Been in a few bands up here and im looking for something different. I have a few guys coming together for a jam some point in the next couple of weeks. The idea is to have a straight forward jam and see how it goes and if it works or not. No pressure or anything. Might work might not. Just looking for interested Drummers and Keyboard players who would be interested in taking part in a jam, with a view to putting a band together in the future. Looking for a solid and committed musicians (Age 17-22), Experience preferred but not essential. Interested in the styles of Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd, Muse, AC/DC... Just nothing too jazz, to techno, too punk or too metal really! Middle of the road... but in a good way! Interested parties reply to this post or pm me! Over and out... Rock On Paul
