  1. speed is the most important factor of music
  2. hey you arent victor wooten are you? hehe
  3. ow god it was hell of a loud, im still muffled, but cant complain. Another thing that shows Dragon Force are pure metal was the drink holders on the mic stands. YASS
  4. It was pretty wild. Dragon force were ace. I loved the keyboard solo and all the guitar faces. I thought the fan blowing their hair was a treat. haha
  5. progressive band looking for open minded singer to sing own material, and covers by the likes of dream theater, Yes and porcupine tree. please PM
  6. definetely. theory is good, but in the end, its your ear that matters
  7. theory is just a way to understand what you write and play. Theory can help you create new and exciting ideas, such as odd chords and and it will let you understand how they work. It's also good for communicating with other musicians.
  8. what weaponry are people taking to DF? I'm going for a green lightsaber. combat pits, what a treat.
  9. band looking for keyboardist and singer to complete line up. Prog. Playing covers and original material. Dream theater, Yes, rush, Metallica, Andrew WK, Pink Floyd, Porcupine tree etc. looking for people who are fairly technically proficient at their instruments, roughly 12-18 years old, and who are good banter.
  10. oh mee i think i just died how ace
  11. Francesco Fareri Michael Angelo Rusty Cooley
  12. Carter Beauford Neil Peart Steve Smith dave weckl and JD blair are pretty tasty too. but everyone is good
  13. yea the musical teaching curriculum is pretty crappy. in generallity, there are a few good teachers out there, but most teachers just go by their books. Its a shame that in my school most of the musicians dont smile when they play and playing music is something of a chore. People arnt motivated to play, yea theres alot of clubs and stuff but all you do is read your music. My school jazz band went to a course a couple of weeks ago on improvising, everyone came back with a smile on their face and was motivated to play, cause they guy just had such a free approach to music, all his pupils at fife (i think it was fife) must be insanely good. this is not saying that people in my school arnt insanely good but they dont get motivated to play or to learn.
  14. its the intervals between the notes. in A minor you have a flat 3 flat 6 and flat 7which gives the minor sound, in major all the notes are natural which makes it sound major.
  15. im having trouble recording multiple tracks. Well, recording one track is a challenge cause when i play the sound gets fed back at me about half a second later than i played it so i cant play along in time etc. any one else have this problem or is it my dumpy computer?
  16. haha, Id like one for a laugh. theres some good pics of guys with beards and work shirts on the site, i like it. Tony Levin is beast though
  17. just wondering if anyone on here can sing kummei, mongolian throat singing (tuvan, whatever). Its such a lovely sound and if you havent heard it done definately go and find some stuff. Ive been teaching myself, so if anyone can do we could exchange ideas. over and oot
