  1. Can you pay at the door Paul? Don't think i'll be down town before then to get a ticket. I've heard alot of good stuff about the supports so it should be ace
  2. The lockup, next to exile studio, has available slots for bands to rehearse, monday-friday afternoons (up until 6pm, Thursday will be free all day as of May) if anyone is interested. PM me for details. The only criteria you need is to have your own amps, there's a kit and PA there... and it will cost 45 rent a month. Kevin
  3. Martin Prendagast ATRC (One of the funniest/rudest band you'll ever see) Reasons Are Red (Aberdeen punk/funk/rawk band) The Upstarts (Elgin's Ska punkn outfit) + DJ's TONIGHT (Thursday 24th March) at the Forum! First band on at 9pm sharp. It's either free entry or 1 entry (can't remember which!) If you can make it along it will be awesome. Apologies for such short notice, we only found out about the gig ourselves this morning...

  5. This will be an awesome gig, still waiting for my free haircut from Al though...
  6. I'd seek a refund as it doesn't look like it'll be rescheduled...
  7. Aye... it's not quite the gloria flaw...

  10. Made a last minute decision to sell my Biffy Clyro ticket and went on a road trip with NiallTGF to see the mighty Fickle Public rawk Edinburgh! And they were awesome!! ...if anyone cares...
  11. supports are Reasons Are Red (former Gloria flaw members) and Turning13. Tickets 5 from support bands, 6.50 on the door... that's roughly a pint difference, or a bus fare home if you're under 18 it'll be a good gig, everyone should come along. Will be good to play after an exam in the afternoon about the European Union... oh the joys of uni...
  12. *cough* Reasons Are Red... *cough* Yup, under the name "Asimov Advises Anger!" Looking forward to the gig, should be good!
  13. The Gloria Flaw played at the QMU and the sound was gash, the sound guys didn't seem bothered at all about how any of the bands sounded. Soundchecks kept getting delayed due to complaints about the noise, and even though the gig was advertised as 14+ (and tickets sold in advance to people over 14) the bouncers refused to let anyone in under the age of 18... so the other bands took in about 30 under agers through the back door and gave them wrist bands that only bands had... bouncers must've thought there was about 20 bands playing, there wasn't, there was 7... or 8? i think? anyhoo...
  14. I know this reply isn't quite as good as getting a reply from Mr N. Slater himself, it's much better We're hitting the studio after the gig at Drakes to fight for some rock justice. We (we being Niall) will shoot you off a copy once it's done and dusted And i've no idea who this other band is? Red by choice? sorry
  15. For anyone who is remotely interested, the band formed of former gloria flaw members known as "Asimov Advises Anger" has had a name change. This is due to the fact that we had to repeat our name approx. 5-10 times before anyone understood what we were saying, and also the confusion of Asimov and Asimov advises anger. So anyhoo... we are now called "Reasons Are Red", and we're playing Dr Drakes on Wednesday 24th November with Mountain Men Anonymous and Politik, doors 8pm, 4 entry.
  16. Might be bias here bought i thought Ray in The Gloria Flaw was awesome. Jeff in Turning13 is a great drummer aswell. I reckon my current drummer is pretty decent aswell considering he doesnt own a kit and never has had a kit, just 2 shabby drum sticks and an ear for a beat!
  17. Fickle Public Distophia Asimov Advises Anger! Friday 29th October Moshulu Unfortunately Fickle Public have had to postpone their mini tour of Scotland with Distophia due to personal reasons. The gig (and tour) will be rescheduled to a later date in the year
  18. -------------------------- Fickle Public Distophia Asimov Advises Anger! Friday 29th October Moshulu 4, Doors 7pm -------------------------- 3 Former members of The Gloria Flaw (Niall (guitar/vocals), myself (bass), Dave (was the drummer in tgf before Ray joined) are to appear with our new band 'Asimov Advises Anger!' at Moshulu on 29th October with 'Fickle Public' and Birmingham band 'Distophia'. Asimov Advises Anger! are quite whacked out, off-kiltered rawk music. It's 4 entry and will be an ace gig. Fickle Public, who have just finished their debut album due for release in 2005, are currently at the top of the Scottish music tree. They have just completed a tour of the UK with Jetplane Landing and also recently signed to Small Town America. With a simply stunning live show Fickle Public will leave you speechless with amazing time signatures, stunning vocals and metal riffs that will blow your mind. (www.ficklepublic.com) Distophia make the trip all the way from Birmingham and have only ever come to Scotland once as far as I know. Having achieved golden melody with vast, raging dissonance the band released their debut album Soda Lake with the standout track Joanne snowballing in popularity, receiving heavy rotation on Radio 1, XFM and MTV 2. Described by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs as awesome these guys you wont want to miss. (www.distophia.com) If you can't catch this gig then this is part of a mini tour and the same bill will be appearing in Forres the night after (30th October) at the Carlton, and Bannermans in Edinburgh on the Monday (1st November). check www.theymademedoit.co.uk for details of the other dates Cheers
