  1. For those who didnt recieve the email and who care After weeks of deliberation, nomad am records has decided to cease trading as of 15/02/2005. This means: 1. We will be pulling out of the abysmalist plans for a compilation and tour for summer 2005. Reasoning behind this being that it requires a lot of money being tied up in the project that - realistically - wont be coming back for a long time and we feel this could be better spent elsewhere. 2. A new company (label and promotions) will be formed, working with a different team. 3. Dedalus and copy_haho will be offered contracts to release further material under this new label and to tour if they wish. 4. This in no way intended to piss people off. Over the last couple of years the company has suffered from things such as: no accounts, no stock taking, no proper infrastructure, an air of pretense and general disorder from naievety etc etc. The new company will have a stronger infrastructure working with new contacts and building on those - something we never really did before, and felt it. 5. nomadam-records.co.uk will be shut down. Thanks
  2. The Lucida Console. As seen supporting many great bands like Biffy Clyro, Minus, Kill Kenada, Aereogramme, ThisGIRL and People in Planes over the last year. The band also played a set at last years Leeds Festival. Thier sound is on the one hand full of snarling abrasive guitars, crunching riffs and machine gun drumming. On the other, plaintive solitary piano, vocals tinged with aching desolation. And have also been described as the Leeds scenes hottest prospects by the local press so are well worth catching. This tour has been rushed to fill in for the dates left empty due to the cancelled Fickle Public tour so will also include a date in Edinburgh and Forres. It will be this Friday, the 29th, with support from Asimov Advises Anger!(A band formed from ex members of the Gloria Flaw and something worth looking out for) visit www.myspace.com/thelucidaconsole or www.thelucidaconsole.vze.com for MP3's info and everything else you could want. Its at the Moorings Bar entry is 2 and the first band will be on at 8:00pm.
  3. Well we caught them live at In The City this year and they put on a really strong performance. I've heard their new stuff as well which is sounding even better and hopefully will be coming out sometime in the new year. Hope to see you there.

  6. Yeah that is about it. Check out the site www.nomadam-records.co.uk for more info and also pop along to the launch in one up on the 7th of feb with Politik and another band still to be confirmed playing live. You can also pick it up from one up or via the website
  7. We would like to apologise for not being able to play tomorrow night and for leaving it to such short notice but there was little we could do about it. It is unfair to the venue we understand and it gives them very little options as to what to do. So sorry to the other bands but especially to Sharron who gave us our first gig and has helped us and been such a great help.
  8. http://www.aberdeen-music.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2168 well check this out cause we need a band
