  1. I know ghosts exist because my Mum is allergic to ghost cheese...
  2. Why do Channel 4 / BBC2 often get it so wrong with their US imports? This show is so cool, funny but understated - and ditto for the mermaid - I don't eat fish, but I'd go to that restaurant and just order drinks so I could watch her!
  3. I recommend the audio 3CD set out on BBC audio now. 'Tundra' is fabulous on it, including Vince's tribute song to Howard's failed suicide bid, "Shoot yer face off" - played on a toy glockenspeil.
  4. They do have a huge range - it's quite fun to type in the most obscure films you can think of and see them appear on your list! The only one they've failed me on so far is 'Inside Daisy Clover'... if anyone knows where I can get a copy of this I'd be grateful, btw...
  5. I use Screenselect - for 12.00 a month you can have unlimited DVDs every onth with two on the go at once - it's fantastique for me as I live a hours away from a cinema and even further from a decent one. Has revived my arthouse viewing and revitalised that wee box in the corner. Huzzah! What have I got on the way next? Let's have a look.... 'In the Mood For Love' Wooop!
  6. 'A House Is Not A Motel' is my favourite - saw Arthur Lee play it with The Pale Fountains in Liverpool way back and there were people in tears everywhere... quite astonishing.
  7. I highly recommend the audio CDs - I was listening to 'Tundra' in the car yesterday and had to pull over because I was laughing so much at them arguing over who was the most deeply Spanish... "where have you been living? In a cockerel's boot?" hehehe...
  8. I need a bit of help, and maybe someone on these boards can help... I am in the midst of changing the Planet Boo websites to integrated credit card processing into the Boomart shop and also placing an automatic payments page on planetboo.com. I have everything set up to take credit cards and have started building a shop with Dreamweaver using Mal's e-commerce to help. Thing is, I just don't have time to get it up and running and it needs to be done tout suite. It's not a difficult job - I've done most of the work - it just needs putting together with a bit of html and some patience. So, if there's a suitable candidate whom I could pass this on to I would be very grateful. I can't pay a lot, maybe a couple of hundred for a half decent job, but if you are good there's always other work to put your way - plus as many Planet Boo freebies as you can manage! Please e-mail or PM me with relevant experience and I'll get back to you straight away. Taverymuchlike.

  10. Please no - such an ugly font, and insubstantial, like a good breeze would lay waste to it.
  11. The Crystal Palace Bowl. There were thousands there but it didn't seem like it due to the lake between the stage and the crowd.
  12. A Vulcan taking off right over our house (we lived in a village that had an RAF station) and me running screaming and hiding under my Mum's sunbed. It was enormous, and I still remember it's dark grey underside and target motifs on the wings.
  13. ...This may yet come true my dear! I can picture the scene now, everyone drinking space cocktails whilst you rip through 'Find It'. Can I be Z-Man?
  14. Just about par for the course. Don't want any of those crazy commies coming over and showing them up now, do they? Their news networks are so parochial and not at all impartial.
  15. Too right - they didn't know what'd hit them!
  16. Classic! Seeing as I only got four myself, can I borrow your one and two? They are divine! The only thing I'd change is I'd duet 'Some Velvet Morning' by Nancy & Lee - much dirtier...
  17. NObody has any idea at all? Hey ho... Just have to try PLan B I suppose... dunno what that is yet...
  18. Side one track two of 'The Faust Tapes'.
  19. 1. Riding with Betty Boo on the giant rocket in the 'Where Are You Baby?' video, hold on tightly to her glittering waist. 2. Being plied with hallucinogenic drugs by Ana Mantronic in a plush New York loft. 3. In a 'Freaky Friday' stylee waking up one morning as Christina Aguilerra. (just for one day mind) 4. Touching Nancy Sinatra's hair in 1965 to see if it moves.
  20. Good choice! 'Ice Hockey Hair' is definitely in my top 5 - it's epic! My number one, however, is 'Plastic Palace People' by Scott Walker - a symphony in a song.
  21. I'm not being totally sleazy by the way, it's actually a legitimate business related reason I want to get hold of this person... any suggestions?
  22. ...I see all... maybe it is you? I'm not making any sense am I? Still, doesn't usually stop me.
  23. Hey ho. Say hi to the smoke for me. Anyhoo, back to the thread... she wears a black faux fur coat. Any ideas anybody?
  24. Ooh, I like your glasses. Cool. Anyway, what's your hair like now? And when did you change it? Are you going to change it back?
  25. Girl, about 5'7" with brown eyes and black hair, cut into a short, sharp bob with a flash of bright purple down one side.
