  1. Eggs florentine, followed by vodka, red bull and LSD.
  2. The video was a good advert for well fitted trousers. That 70s Vegas suit made Mozzer's legs look so short! Can't wait for the album...

  5. Dido has become one of those popstars who decided a sideways move into a name related industry would be best for all concerned. Much the same as there is now a factory called Gareth's Gates, the woman who is the aural equivalent of a green Ford Mondeo has started a business manufacturing sex toys, called... you can see where this is going already, can't you? Dido is so MOR that she had a hit single which used the current housing market as a metaphor for her lovelife.

  8. Do you have any examples to view?
  9. Yeah, who would have thought the thin black duke could have been such a scream? It was a reminder of just how rich and diverse his back catalogue is when you think that he played absolute classics for two hours and you can still think of twenty or thirty absolute stormers he could have thrown in. And what a fucking noise from a violin! Only one tiny quibble, for some reason he left a verse out of 'God Is In The House', the one about, "Queerbashers with tyrejacks, lesbian counterattacks"... will forgive him though.
  10. Bloody fantastique! Was at the Edinburgh gig... Too knackered to type anymore just now though.
  11. Hey, what can I say? I only just found out what an MP3 does! The thought of sitting at a computer listening to music never really occurred to me before last week when somebody sent me an MP3 of the new Wigwam single...
  12. The thing is, the 'bedroom scene' that vide infra described is just the way things were in the 80s. I'd say it would be difficult to define the 80s in terms of an artist or a musical movement, because at the beginning of the decade there was the aftershock of punk which gave us new wave, but the main part of the eighties that I remember was dominated by hideous stadium rock aor/mor bilge and plastic SAW pop. Mainstream culture was very very depressing and counterculture didn't really shake things up until the decade was coming to an end. Obviously the bands people have pinpointed as being the defining ones of that era were great (The Smiths really were everything in the world to the fourteen year old Patrick Boo) but they didn't define the era at all, they shone in spite of the culture around them. Perhaps we'll look back at this decade in the same way...
  13. Looking back 10 years to 1996 the decade was in full swing and had it's defining artists I reckon. As yet I don't think this decade has found an identity... I'm just hoping for the kind of explosion of creativity that defined the late years of the 70s.
  14. I am looking for someone who can design a Manga style print. It needs to be basic and in one colour, as it is for screenprinting onto fabric to make a pattern. It needs to be edgy and recognisable as a Manga style- Something like a Japanese girlie doing something ultraviolent/naughty whatever. Please PM me for more details....
  15. Those awful bloody 'videos'! they do the bands no favours at all...
  16. Wow, you got Gillian Anderson too - that means you must look like me?
  17. Hlarious! The celebrity I look like most (50%) is Liza Minelli!!!! But Mick Jagger is 49%...! I also got - Roman Abramovich Abraham Lincoln (which is where I'm from - spooky) Michael Moore (yikes) and Gillian Anderson! Then running another photo (where I'm obviously looking far more alluring) I got - Cameron Diaz (65%!!) Hilary Duff (65%) Christina Ricci (63% - yowza - I touch myself and all that) Viggo Mortensen John Malkovich Audrey Tatou Enya (!!!) and... Liza Minelli Gillian Anderson. The Liza Minelli thing is scaring me now...
  18. The bass player will go down in the pantheon of great bassists - a wonderful onstage stance, and a great t-shirt model to boot! Seriously, Josephine RIP, sadly missed.
  19. Yeah, you'd better be - Mrs Boo has a mean uppercut and she really hates them... !
  20. Ordered my tickets for the Edinburgh date - can't wait, as I don't get out much!!
  21. I need a new shop building for Planet Boo - I've started but given up as I don't have the time. I already have a working Worldpay account so the checkout is ready, I just want a decent shop that will work better than it does now. Any of you people know your stuff enough to do the job? If not, do you know of anyone that can help?
  22. Anyone who has ever read a Mr men book will know worms can wear hats - and monocles!
  23. Now this is a thread! Do whelks count? I suppose not, as the shell of a whelk already looks like the hat the Clare Grogan wore when she was on Top Of The Pops doing 'Happy Birthday'. This is a harder one than I first imagined - I thought snails, but then remembered Brian from The Magic Roundabout and his little red number. It's easier to think of animals that do wear hats - monkeys, horses, donkeys, elephants, cats (there's a book about that), mice (Speedy Gonzalez) Hammerhead sharks, how about that? They would need the biggest, most oddly shaped hat ever created.
