All you need is a copy of XP. I got myself a Dell desktop a while ago, and the XP disk doesnt actually say XP on it, its Purple and says Dell.. Just figure out which disk has the operating system, set the system to boot off of the CD and then follow the on screen prompts. I very much doubt your hard xrive is nackered, its probabaly caused from not shutting the system down properly. You should be able to carry out a repair, if not you can just reinstall Windows over the copy already on the HDD without losing everything else on the disk. Bob

I personally feel that the whole war in Iraq was a huge mistake on the part of mister Bush and Blair. They never intended it to go on as it has, the must have inticipated rebel factions, but nothing like what is happening now, with the suicide bombers etc. Sadam was an evil bastard and had to be taken out of power, but the American and Brittish "intelligence" coming up with so called "weapons of mass destruction" to give them there window of opertunity. Noooo, my yearbook photo was pretty bad, if i remember correctly, the original one was worse, but it was somehow deleted at some point during the year and another had to be taken. Its weird, i kinda miss Gordons, I sometimes bump into my teachers whilst wandering about town at lunchtime, and its good to talk to them, kinda on a different level as im no longer a pupil.
