Yipe indeed it was an excellant gig, just a shame a large portion of the crowd left after WSBB played, i cant believe anyone would miss DESALVO o_O I might be one of the few who caught your first gig, your last gig and the last gig with your previous singer. Personally i'll miss you guys as i think you had alot to offer and im still disappointed i couldn't put you on in Elgin before the split On the Promoters front i've recently been putting gigs on in Elgin and petrol money is the minimum i'll always pay out. If the band want a guarantee then thats what it is, if im not happy paying that i wouldn't put them on - simple as You can find my Elgin Promotions page at www.myspace.com/thesyndicate2008

Death Magnetic to me is absolutely amazing, i enjoyed it on first listen and its just getting better and better with every listen. A mate commented on the length of the songs and to be honest i hadn't even noticed. I also would put the new album above The Black Album in order of preference, nothing touches Master of Puppets thou. On the live front i caught Metallica at the O2 over a week ago and the five new songs played off the new album fitted well alongside all the classics. For those who care Feb/March was announced as when Metallica will be over here again. Yes im a total Metallica fan but if somethings rubbish i would say, nobody respects your opinion if you just blindly follow the party line.

I say anything less than 120 people would be a failure. The last 2 gigs after looking at my accounts had something like 135 and 145 people. I cant be 100% accurate but those would be the lowest amount of people rather than an inflated figure. Wifebeater with only 3 members showing up, what happened your bassist under the thumb? ?( Nah after seeing Spike and Scurge play as a 2 piece before, a three piece would be like an orchestra in comparison -

Aye Jake your new band name has certainly raised a few eyebrows to say the least. o_O I couldn't remember your song names so i made a few up and that seems to have fanned the flames Please have your demos with you as i missed out at the Discharge gig. To answer your question Ross its in the big hall, the small hall wouldn't be big enough or strong enough ?( Please note the slight change in the poster, Cryptic Hate objected to the font i used for them, something to do with looking too much like Bullet for my Valentine :O -
Saw Amen, Raging Speedhorn, The Wildhearts, Backyard Babies, Will Haven, Breed77, Stiff Little Fingers, Paradise Lost, The Misfits, Johnny Truant, Kill II This at the Lemon Tree. Some great gigs, just a shame the bands i like played few and far between at the place

Taken from the Press & Journal story:- Councillors agreed unanimously that the venue should be offered the chance to take out a loan from the city council administered Aberdeen Business Enterprise Scheme, or the Lemon Tree could have had its overdraft facility underwritten up to a new limit by the local authority. Neither option was taken up by the board. Full story can be found Here
