At work. Taking a shit and listening to Rush. I know this because Rush is perfect Sunday morning listening and i always take my morning shit when I start work at 10 on a Sunday, for roughly 10-20 minutes. First 3 minutes shitting and the rest is dicking about on my phone.
The words brutal and epic ... Brutal is like getting repeatedly stabbed in the eye with a turkey twizzler Epic is like riding the clouds with saddam Hussein and marlon brando, on our way to the city of Endor. I hope the music lives upto this expectation. I've already got DEVestated socks on.
Fucking hell I also just found out today by just flicking through the EE. Oh well guess I'll just get a bit stoned and spread my diatribes elsewhere haha.
Watched Apocalypse Now with my lunch and just watch Platoon along with my dinner. God I love well spent days off. Maybe watching Full Metal Jacket now might just be overkill. CHARLIE DON'T SURF!
I can't really practise at the flat but I'll use pads or pillows to keep the momentum and tightness/looseness or whatever. I never practise rudiments, djembe 12/15th's or jazzing it up with a blues bollocks combo or anything like that but I do practise and improve my power and what I already know. Sometimes I'll come across a new technique or style of fill by accident and then I'll add it to caz's box 'o' tricks then overuse it as much as possible and move on. Along with Aaron I usually only pick up my guitar to write riffs or practise playing other peoples riffs. Mainly Slayer / Autopsy / Discharge & Repulsion becase they have the best riffs
Transatlantic,Hammer Of The Gods,Yellow Matter Custard and Liquid Tension Experiment are all worthy of his undivided attention in my eyes. Shame he isn't taking part in the project with Akerfeldt and Steve Wilson.
A vast majority of the songs and lyrics were wrote by Portnoy about his dealings alcoholism and the deaths of family members. Real personal stuff. He was the major player in DT. Meh!
He didn't leave for avenged sevenfold apparently. I'm just pissed the rest of them are carrying on The name without him. He was Dream Theater. They had started to slump abit after they signed with Roadrunner records so I wish they just left the name and leave it untarnished. I am completely bias'd though as Portnoy have been a major influence to my playing, shame it doesn't show haha.
Wholewheat with wads of ham and mustard.Fat topless lad getting whipped with a dog chain. 100% ACE-IC Well done. That picture will amuse me for atleast an hour at work.
