  12. 5 A Side Football?

    not sure if this is the right forum to post this in - is anyone interested in playing 5 a side football at Strikers on Wednesdays at 9.30pm? There are about 16 regulars but often end up one player short every couple of weeks so would be good to have more options. The standard varies - there are some good players, some poor but we don't take it too seriously. Anyone interested give me a PM (we need someone for tonight but if your interested for future weeks, let me know!)

    A lot of stuff I'd have liked but last year's experience was a miserable one of standing in a queue for an hour with people that looked like they were there for no reason but to re-sell on ebay. It wasn't fun because you couldn't browse releases either.

  15. The Future Of Music Journalism

    Hello all,

     

    I'm writing my disseration on the subject of music journalism, more specifically, the challenges presented by new technology.  Basically, print vs online, and I'm conducting a survey on the subject.

     

    It needs to be answered by people who are "into" music so I would hugely appreciate it if anyone on here could take 5 minutes to fill it out (I'm currently sitting on 68 respondents, ideally, I want 100).

    Also, it would be great to get some discussion going on here.  Do you still read music magazines? Do you believe that someone who is employed as a music journalist has a more valid or qualified opinion than a music blogger who is simply a fan?  Will print music journalism exist in 20 years?

    I second Three Judges and Inn Deep in the West End. You can make a right good pub crawl of it from Inn Deep to Brewdog, there's another good bar next to Three Judges.

     

    Bon Accord has good selection also.

     

    In the City Centre, The Drum & Monkey, has about 5 ales on.

     

    Sloans, Lauders, The Pot Still (mainly a Whiskey bar)...Glasgow's pretty good for pubs!
