  1. you have no idea how happy i am that there's a thread about neighbours here, i come back after 5 months and there's actually something worth reading!

i've just realised how sad i've become...

    izzy is a bint

karl's band "the waiting room" are touring walkabouts and student unions now, i'm considering going to see them to chuckle...

  2. hrm has to be keira knightly mm ;)

failing that i'd settle for liv tyler' date=' or that girl in smallville with the dark hair, :D[/quote']

A girl after my own heart.

The best thing being, my girlfriend looks like Keira! :D and i suppose i have to say the person i'd most like to have sex (or any other sort of "homosexual experience) with would be her.

I don't really have much to say about the turn the thread took when grant said he quite fancied some folk about town, except i hate the double standards we automatically have about gay people. It's like the Don't Ask, Don't tell thing in the US military - you can be gay and serve in the army, as long as you don't tell anyone you are, thereby making everybody assume you're straight and making everyday conversation really quite difficult. I think people, ideally, should get to grips with the fact that not everyone is straight and it's no big deal if they're not, cos really, it doesn't change them as an individual (though it may change your perception of them :moody: ) and it's only who they prefer to sleep with.

There is a fair point about maybe keeping it to yourself about who you fancy, but if you don't want to know these kind of things, don't open the fucking thread! it has a pretty explainitary title!

(i realise i'm being a bit of a hypocrite here by saying that it doesn't matter who your sleeping with cos it's not really anyone's business, and then blatantly telling everybody who i'm sleeping with.................. but hey!)

  3. i've just seen a really cool feature on a different forum, it's ace!

in the quote on the reply it has a little icon that you can click on that takes you to the original post that was quoted. the code in the message was post number

i thought it was clever and useful. could it be a possibility?

  4. i want something done about it to stop all these circular arguments. though we do seem to be getting somewhere now. Basically, if the ventilation is good enough then smoking really shouldn't bother anyone. I get pissed off if someone is smoking in my face, or even if the smoke from my cigarette is going into my face.

I think all us smokers should realise we don't have a leg to stand on. All our argument consists of is "well i like it and so everyone else should put up with it cos that's the way things are now" it's just our addiction, and the fact that a fag and a pint is the nicest thing ever!

i think something has to be done. lots of smoke just isn't pleasant. but i reckon places will ban smoking before they get good ventillation cos it's cheaper. Unitl they see how the profit goes down...

  5. oh yus! it was ace. it a shame radio lucifer didn't play - i think i'm destined not to see them.

i really enjoyed broken oath, just as much if not more than the last few time i've seen them.

and small enclosed area were pretty damn ace too.

don't worry chris, broken oath are always around - you'll see them again!

  6. i think the tbc in the X tent were We Rock Like Girls Don't. at least that was what was written on their drums and t-shirts. apparently they were very good.

    i loved:

    black eyed peas(surprisingly)

    pink

faithless, tho my frineds dragged me away mid set to see fucking keane

the darkness, i was quite suprised by this. they were very entertaining. and you could actually see them, unlike muse.

katie melua was pretty good, though the tent was packed and there was a really annoying woman who kept bashing into me.

    scissor sisters were fantastic

so was p j harvey, oh my god she is wonderful!

i enjoyed the rapture, and i didn't really enjoy stellarstar*. the glitteratti were not as good as their name.

buck 65 was so entertaining. i'm really glad i saw him.

i went to watch poor old ben on sunday nite in the t break tent. i was really impressed.

i don't understand what was great about the pixies. they played well, but you can only really expect that. and they were BORING! they didn't move. they were all wearing the same and, well, i only knew about 4 of the songs....

but hey! what a good weekend!

  7. I heart the scissor sisters. i think they are hilarious and I really like their version of Comfortably numb. I also really like Pink Floyd's Original. But you can't dance to it. I think the SS album is pretty ace, a couple of songs get on my tits though.

filthy/gorgeous is a fantastic song. It makes me feel dirty.
