  3. I used to work in Virgin (in Glasgow).... We had to (still have to) play the Virgin Radio..... Occassionally (depending on which boss we had in) we could play cds we like. There are alot of people that worked there and we all had varying tastes in music, so you had to "fight" over which cds could go on. Anything heavy will scare customers away and as our job is to sell music we could hardly play really heavy music as it doesn't appeal to enough people.... There are cd listening posts there for people that want to listen to something...use them!
  4. My first gig was Kylie - 1988 or so.... But my first great gig was Micheal Jackson at Wembley in 1992...

  8. 7 Stone Lighter, Make Her Cry and Firstborn were going to play Glasgow....They asked me if I could put the gig on but I'm way too busy just now so you can hate me if you like....I don't mind But yeah, Stephen I want to see you guys too....... I'd have loved to see you play tonight...but alas I'm busy!
  9. I love hardcore dancing! (well, watching it not doing it!) I saw people dancing like that at Strike Anywhere and it was amazing.....
  10. I think its awful the way major record labels are all about the money. These people must have been great music lovers if they chose to follow such a difficult career path but as soon as they become management every decision is made depending on profits. And then they go and buy the independent labels or force them out of business. Its just not right!
  11. Its an all day festival run by a group trying to raise money for charity held at a youth centre in Uxbridge. It was run as just a local event but now its rather famous and they get really good "underground" bands playing. They have had Lostprophets, Sikth, Hiding with Girls and the Blueprint play before. Another band playing is Eden Maine
  12. I used to love New Kids On the Block!!! But apparently when I was about 3 I loved Adam and the Ants - which was the first record ever bought for me!
  13. It has indeed been postponed.... and I'm sure Ross would have posted a thread to tell people but he's been off and down in Glasgow and I ban him from the internet so give him a break Mr Officer!!!
  14. I'll hopefully be there...... depending on money...and if I can get tickets!
  15. yay...stapleton rock!!! i'll be there!
  16. Yup.....i go to gigs just to score with the band men.
  17. Guess whos going to see them live at Brixton!
  18. Hmm.... Line-up only looks ok so far.... Shalln't be upset at missing it this year...I feel Japan is far more interesting!
  19. Glad to see your on the ball I'm not going to TITP as I'm meant to be in Australia.... but I'm going to see them opening Brixton Academy
  20. Stapleton are amazing! They are "Glasgow Rock" i.e. they sound very much like they come from Glasgow- if that makes sense! But they are fantastic....and its everyone else in Glasgow trying to sound like them! I don't see a Glasgow date Guess I'll just have to go to Aberdeen instead.
  21. ohh...what a cool prize.... how tempting to enter!!! Hehehe.....
  22. Thats cos you request shite Mr Mac Oh...and Johnson (I assume its Johnson as in Tom and Tim etc) try living in Glasgow with only the Cathouse...its crap... Moshulu is about 100 times better.... And I can't be bothered replying to earlier comments..its all been said already.
