  1. recently my grandad just had a series of strokes - which were probably due to the fact that he smoked for years, but he stopped a few years back because he had a heart attack and a stroke. And he's been in hospital since just before new year. It's horrible, it upset me so much to go and see him that i've only been like twice since. And still pretty much all of my extended family (on both sides) smoke. I've never touched a cigarette. but i hate to think how much shit i have in my lungs from the amount of passive smoke.
  2. Hmm might go to this...i saw them at the Lemon Tree and was impressed by the show - but i've got 'come for you parents' and i wasn't so impressed.
  3. Blink sound nothing like Greenday...whaat?
  4. Blink 182 all the way - The first band i got into properly and i listened to Enema for a year and half non-stop. They've progressed and i love every one of their albums. Saw them live this year finally and it was awesome - one of the best times of my life Although i'd say greenday have had more commercial success!
  5. So did anything exciting happen last night at the meeting? When's the next one?
  6. Fuck, i only saw this just now saying there was a meeting today. I've got exams and stuff just now but I am DEFINATELY going to TRY to go to the next meeting. Sorry! Claire x
  7. Damn, i thought the 'it's weapon time' was awesome. hehe..made me giggle anyway.
  8. I'd never heard them until yesterday and i went along tonight and it was fucking ace. Really nice guys, i wish i could've given them a home for night but my mummy wouldn't have been too pleased.
  9. Can i just ask, how are new bands supposed to get better if they aren't playing any gigs? Sure they can practice all they want but it's quite different when you're actually in a venue playing, and hey, at least they're trying, if they weren't doing this they could be doing stupid things like mugging old ladies and stupid shit like that. Every band has to start somewhere before they get good, i think alot of people forget that sometimes!(even me)
  10. i still need to go to a meeting. I have work till 6 on a sunday and then i'm like *yawn, can't move* and end up just going home, but i feel bad!
  11. Hmm should be interesting - the clips aren't working on my computer but i'd like a listen - i think Atreyu's music would 'convert' into sting quartet music pretty well..it'll be spooky methinks.
  12. I figured it all out, in a frenzy of panic - go to kef see At Long Last, scoot over to the lemon tree at 9 to see Fighstar(or some of the set) and then scoot back to Kef again to see MMW - it can work - i hope, or maybe i could sell my fightstar ticket for lots of money..hmm...
  13. I took int2 in 5th year and am doing higher now and i think it's helped me alot, so if you're staying for 6th i'd recommend doing int2, you get more time to go over things and ask questions. I think the only reason i'm good at Chemistry is because my teacher is awesome at explaining things, i think if i had another teacher i would've failed.
  14. Roses are Red - they were fucking ace, i was impressed by them ALOT!! Bought the album and it's ace too! Silverstein - I have the album and it's not as good as i thought it would be but i thought that they'd maybe impress me more live, but no, they really bored me. They're a good band but I don't know there's just something about them that i don't like and i don't know what it is. The Hurt Process - I didn't watch their whole set - i saw them twice last year and i don't like them, the singer's voice annoys me. But yeah, i thought they were ok. Underoath - I thought Underoath were awesome, great songs, great stage presence. Very good night indeed, enjoyed myself alot, and lost my voice too. Great photo's neil.
  15. Oh no, what has Adam done to his hair..it looks weird.
  16. So maybe i'm glad I didn't go this time then? and just keep the good memories from last year woo hoo!
  17. You will love it...they're SO SO SO good live. If i had a scanner i'd have put up my pics from manchester last year, but i dont so sorry

  21. Wow, i don't think it's sunk in yet..Drakes is my favourite venue, it's so cosy and homely. Good luck to all the staff!
