  1. Together Alone - Crowded House Fuckbags - too slow. Only The Good Die Young - Iron Maiden
  2. Meh - i can take or leave Dido, she has a good voice, just not too fond of her songs... I'd recommend Heather Nova for any female singer fans...
  3. Well, everyone who read this thread and didn't buy this guitar (i.e everyone except ME - woohoo!!) should be well gutted right now... Its a USA Fat Strat Texas Special, made in 2000. Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates Humbucker at the bridge, 2 fender texas single coils - sounds great! Plays great too!! YAY! Think i'll go and learn Sultans of Swing now, seems strangely appropriate! Can't believe it was only 300!!! To be honest, now i've got it home and had a good play i'd have quite happily paid double that! Mr Mice you seem a nice man, but you must be insane!!
  4. Nah - standard tuners work fine with it once its intonated, its just instead of having the 12th fret natural and harmonic in tune you make the harmonic slightly sharp or flat depending on the string - but we are talking millicents here hence the need for the fancy Korg tuners, once intonated it behaves the same as any other guitar. I'll take you up on that offer Ian, need to discuss something else too, but i'll give you a call about that!
  5. http://www.buzzfeiten.com Anyone used this at all, or heard of it being used?? Wondering what peoples thoughts are on it, intonation being the bane of my life!
  6. I'd say its definately 100% in F#m - Main reason being that the majority of modern music starts and ends on the root (F#), and it has the minor 3rd (A). Simple as that, no need to complicate it any further.
  7. Happy Birthday is still a copyrighted piece of music and earns about 2mil in royalties every year.
  8. Maybe thats why he chose Johnny Marr though.. So everyone was right. Yay!
  9. Johnny Marr was originally called John Maher but changed his name out of respect for The Buzzcocks drummer of the same name.
  10. Agree about the moving on from the band thing... but would have been disappointed not to hear things like Suedehead and Last of the Famous International Playboys from Morrissey, specially as he's struggled to get much chart success since those days...
  11. 70 for the patriot, provided it is in decent shape and plays ok. Check out http://www.harmony-central.com and check the reviews to compare prices, but thats my first and final offer!!! Also worth checking the amp on there for sample prices.
  12. BB King. He has a great blues tone, him and Lucille have got it going on... Jeff Buckley always had a really good clean tone too. Agree though - more people should care about their tone rather than just cranking up the fuzz, must say myself included!
  13. Del, do you have the actual setlist? Ok saw the post above after i'd posted. But i disagree, I think they have to take into account that the majority of people are NOT there to see them directly, but may know their most famous songs. Lets be honest you aren't going to piss of your own fans by playing a set of your greatest hits are you? So why not keep everyone happy. These bands are payed to entertain, not keep themselves happy or make some kind of statement.
  14. The Smiths - That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore Marry me Johnny, marry me...
  15. Well, after catching Moz on Glastonbury on BBC3 and hearing him do Shakespears Sister i had to look out Louder Than Bombs - and then I caught The Headmaster Ritual on the highlights, so out came Meat Is Murder.. Yip - getting back into The Smiths in a big way...
