  1. Paul and I can watch a whole series of 24 in a day. It's almost like you're really there! I still haven't seen episode 10, it's taking ages to download, fucking Bearshare. Also, I want to know why Jack isn't married anymore - what happened with him and his wife?
  2. I remember when this was on at the cinema, Amnesty International came and set up loads of tables and shoved leaflets at everyone. Having never seen the film, I'd like to know, was there a reason behind them doing that?
  3. I think that the number 23 does have something to do with it. They all went through gate 23 to board the plane after all!
  4. You fucker!! I thought you were gonna tell me when you were going?! I NEEEEEEED those mirrors.
  5. There are far far better Arctic Monkey's songs.
  6. Thanks! As brilliant as Damn Damn Leash is, Fire Department just delights me so much more!
  7. Isn't Faria Alam one of the people who said she's shagged Sven Goran Erikson? Surely they wouldn't put her AND nancy in? Or would they.....?
  8. In no particular order - The Rakes - 22 Grand Job be your own PET - Fire Department Test Icicles - Circle, Triangle, Square The Strokes - Juicebox Art Brut - Emily Kane We Are Scientists - Nobody Moves, Nobody Gets Hurt Head Automatica - Beating Heart Baby Blood Brothers - Love Rhymes With Hideous Car Wreck iForward, Russia! - Thirteen/Fourteen Death From Above - Blood On Our Hands
  9. I am forever in love with Macaulay Culkin. I hope that's true!
  10. The drummer from iForward, Russia! is brilliant! And she's a she.
  11. At least the Smith girls were good to you! The best thing I got this year was a trip to New York, which I haven't been on yet. Loads of dollars 20 Artistic Things by Barnaby Richards 20 Enchanting Things by Barnaby Richards A crystal city t-shirt Superfuckers 2 by James Kochalka
  12. I took my boyfriend to Paris for his birthday. I've yet to be treated to something equally delightful.
  13. Fudge's 6th birthday was the best because it was the day I moved back from London and I was so sad and it made me feel brilliant! And there was all that nonsense with the wheelbarrow race and the glass on the floor. AWESOME!
  14. Have you had a child? You couldn't really have one without a man either could you?
  15. Um, I don't. I think they're a waste of money because they die and then i have to put them in the bin. And fake flowers are worse.
  16. Actually, a lot of the best bargains can be found on January 2nd where more stock gets put out, or after, when things are further reduced.
  17. I hate the Next sales despite having never been to one. That woman sounds mental. I just can't get my head around the fact that there is a queueing system just to get in and out the shop. Customers are handed massive sacks when going in, just so they grab everything they see and chuck it in! I think the people who go are the kind of people who shop there twice a year, once at each massive sale, and that's the only time and place they buy clothes. However, a friend of mine did once get a really nice pair of boots for 95p reduced from 95 quid. So I guess there are some bargains to be found.
  18. DON'T GO TO THE EIFFEL TOWER AT NIGHT. The first time I went was brilliant. The second time I went with my boyfriend and we thought "oooh lets go at night because it'll be all lit up and romantic!" Which is exactly what everyone else does and you end up spending most of your time queuing. It's really cold up there too, and that was in August. Go during the day because the queues are shorter and you can see much more. Take a riverboat trip in the evening because it will take you past the tower and you can see it all lit up. Visit the Pompidou if you like modern art. It's really quiet compared to the other galleries and there's a lot of really impressive stuff. If you go the the Louvre take your time walking through to the Mona Lisa, and look up! The ceilings are my favourite thing about the Louvre and be prepared to not really see the Mona Lisa. Last time I was there it was worse than being at a gig, all I could see were cameras and mobile phones before we got moved on through to the next room. When you climb the steps to the Sacre Coeur in Montmatre you might think "where did the eiffel tower go?" but it's hidden behind some trees and you have to move right over to the left if you want to see it. Actually, those trees might be bare in winter and you might see it fine.
  19. Oh yeah those bits were awful. I also detested the blurry slow-mo fighting scene with the tribe of freaks. Clearly a massive hideous cover up for some pretty bad directing. Gash gash gash. My poor sister took me to see it (I don't work at the cinema anymore and refuse to pay) even though she'd already seen it. Bless her.
  20. Absolutely awful. I've never been more disappointed with a film. It was such utter balls, even the dinosaurs didn't make me happy. There was no way it needed to be so long, they could have cut that crap bit with the giant bugs (so unneccesary), shortened that ridiculous half hour Empire State building bit (by the way, people cannot stand on top of the Empire State building and not be blown off) and Naomi Watts was terrible too. TERRIBLE. Poor Adrien Brody, what a tainted man he is now.
  21. I sometimes miss "the old days" but then I remember that hanging outside One Up for ours then going home and talking about it on The Wasteland is not the most fun thing that can ever happen.
  22. That is quite a good deal! My boyfriend bought me and my sisters the massive all ten series box set for xmas and it's so pretty. There's loads of episodes I haven't seen and I thought I'd seen them all!
