  3. After months of careful planning I am very pleased to announce the official opening of ELECTRIC GUITAR, BASS AND ACCESSORIES DEPARTMENT Downstairs @ PRO SOUND MUSIC 96 Holburn Street Aberdeen 01224 211311 We are starting properly on Monday 2nd Aug Even though we arent going to have a massive selection of guitars in the first week but it will grow slowly over time. We aim to please all the unsatisfied players and future players that dont dig the shops we have in Aberdeen already And simply try and offer an alternative to whats already there for people Offering a wide range (eventually) of quality top brand guitars, basses and accessories We have already secured dealerships with wide range of top brands BUT! What I would really like is for you guy to tell me, 1, What you would like to see in a new guitar shop in Aberdeen? 2, If a shop is cool what makes it cool? 3, tell any bad or good experiences with guitar shops you wish to share! Thank you for your time Any input would be greatly appreciated Please lets not have any name calling

  8. what! once were?? friday 26th march 2004 when we had 90 people in to are EP launch @ drakes not bad i think and i think we did alright 2night! crowd wise anyway!!!! normaly we tend to play once a month but since the fudge awards we keep getting booked, sorry were not playing in aberdeen again till 14th aug when we open for sunways @ the moorings bar but we have been keeping busy lately coz were doing a wee tour and we have been geting are shit together sorry!!
  9. ok violence don't help anything! and i was foolish to credit people with knowing i wouldnt smack a guy with a sock of 20p's but! in the real world you cant ask people to play gigs @ audio dropouts or fudge and then take the piss i beleve the only 2 'cedar rose' bookings are 1 fudge night 1 audio dropouts night and 'cloud' i will say 'play for me' coz shows dont just happen coz bands sit around slag'n each other off its coz some people put there money where there mouth is and put gigs on and its promoters pick the line ups. and its a real shame coz theres so much pure talent in CEDAR ROSE (ex Phil) and the thought that they may suffer now he's 'mr promoter crittic 2004' a real shame and if i was in his band i would be having words!!!
  10. My first gig with eric euan was supporting Karloff @ the lemon tree I was totally shitting myself but I knew what I was doing I knew my bits and thats really it if you know what you have to do just get on there do it and get off ! Stages are hot so take water on stage and a towel for sweaty moments Spare; lead / picks / instrument Be on time to sound check dont piss about ! Its not a rehearsal always treat the sound man / technical team / bar staff with respect coz you want to be asked back and no mater how well you play if you act like tossers they wont want you back! And thank them at the end of the night! Be courteous to the other bands on the bill its so much easier to have friends and allies than rivals an enemies in this game Thank the bands that played before you and plug the bands that play after you its the least you can do considering you may be using some of there gear
  11. Ok!!!! Last night was an example of what the FUDGE guys do and do best! thats put on a gig with a cross section of talent in a kind of something for everyone approach which is just what we need! and its that attitude which makes the local scene what it is The unique act that is - Spike Pile Driver, they are great (you ether get it or you dont) The extreme musical talent of - the Simon Gall Band The vibrant and refreshing - Cuts I loved Sucioperro truly rocking and hard edged wonderful thank you Brian I felt their set alone was worth a 5.00 A good fudge night!!! BUT.. TAR Must have been some kind of in-joke That I didnt get But whatever they took some friends along who seemed to have fun and they played there set And as long as when people say old school hardcore they mean gruff punk tunes written buy kids when they were at school, Thats fine! A great Zine was launched and the FIRST of the fudge birthday gigs Happened. Looking forward to next Thursday!!!!
