  1. VOX are coming out with a 50W Valvetronix, or there is the the AV60 or whatever it is. Not much point in selling an anniversary head to buy a 900 series. Craig
  2. Has sold on ebay unfortunately (well, not for me)
  3. They're pretty good. sound good at low volumes too. craig
  4. not strictly related, but if you can get your hands on a PA, find an old warehouse or something. we used to go to rehearsal rooms and stuff down in the edinbronx. then we got our own warehouse. best thing that ever happened to us. Rocking out on your own amps, whenever and for as long as you want. Took me two years to find a place though. Craig
  5. Saturday 23rd The Moorings, Aberdeen deadenstereo + The Stick Finlays + Atrium Dunno costs etc. Ran by AUBL Craig
  6. Boss dd-3 delay. Up to 800ms of crystal clear digital delay, plus the option to send the effected anmd dry outputs out seperately (to different amps for example). Over 100 new, yours for 50, with shipping extra (5?) paypal accepted (since I'm in Fife). Craig
  7. I'm selling my attenuator as I have no need for it with my new amp. It is a Weber MASS 50, which means it works for amps up to 50W. You could use it with a 100W amp, but not on full attenuation, or something might fry. Unlike a hotplate it has variable instead of notched atenuation settings, and also unlike the hotplate this version has two impedances - switchable between 4 and 8 ohms. It also has a built in DI with seperate volume and B M T controls, based on a fender tone stack. These are unavailable in the UK at the moment, I imported this from the States, so you are saving yourself the hassle of importing, customs, taxes and the chance that it doesn't work and you have to post it back to America to get fixed. This one works perfectly. The chicken head knob for the attenuation has moved round it's stalk, meaning it is on full attenuation, but shows 6. This is easy to fix, but I don't have the rigth screwdriver to take the knob off and re-set it.... Info on it here: http://www.webervst.com/mass.html A pic from website: Shipping is at buyer's expense, or you can wait til our next gig in Aberdeen (October) Craig
  8. I'll give you 30 next time I'm up in the 'deen (October). Don't hold it for me though.
  9. Dunno about this rape stuff. Been known to dabble in borderline underagers, but who hasn't? Next Aberdeen gig is October 26th in the Moorings, courtesy of the AUBL with the Stick Finlays and Atrium. There may be an earlier one at Drakes. All the info you could ever want on the band is on the site.... Craig
  10. The nice guys at the deadenstereo ministry of culture have decided to up the ante by releasing a track previously only available by PAYING FOR IT. And paying for stuff sucks ass, so we bring you our recent split single track A PERFECT SECOND, free to download at http://www.deadenstereo.co.uk However, if you're too lazy for all that reading about the band and wanna go straight to the track - deadenstereo - A Perfect Second.mp3 <- just hit it straight from there dudes. REVIEWS Deadenstereo are a much more interesting prospect. Mixing haunting guitar melodies with fragile vocals, Deadenstereo could find a wider audience if there's more where this came from. - The Daily Record deadenstereo are a little more of a complex case, going for a more adventurous and subtle sound on their song 'A Perfect Second'. they definitely steal the show as far as this single is concerned. This mellow and moody rock track progresses to an intense finish - fans of radiohead take heed - with fitting tender melancholic vocals throughout. The dark atmosphere created by the song is in tune with the lyrics, which are centered around the story of a man falling in love with his own (accidental) killer. Very impressive - keep an eye out for these guys. - killthenoize.net Craig
  11. well, we might not be local, but we've been compared to Oceansize before, and should be able to get a few punters in for ya.....
  12. check out the Kent Armstorng version. I got one for around 40 online in the uk - pretty good distortion sound, I used it to record.
  13. we were ment (meat?) to support them at the dungeon a couple of years ago, but they pulled out. they would have whooped our asses, metal style - we played shite that night.
  14. If it's not a Model 7, what is it? According to all the research I did, plus the people at the Jackson Charvel Forum, it's a model 7, and so does this guy think it's a model 7 - http://www.geocities.co.jp/MusicHall/8766/norioguitar.htm Here's some pictures of other model 7's from the jcf forum. Look pretty similar to me. As for ebay, i don't give a shit of it's against the rules. The guitar shop I worked in did it for all 2000 things they sold since they started on ebay, and every auction I see does it. As far as I'm concerned, if my guitar sells at 200, then I expect to recieve 200, not 194. If someone doesn't like it, they can send a cheque - I'm in no hurry. Craig
  15. The ENGL rips. Those Marshalls aren't really "vintage" anyway, just old ones, that sound good. I don't think the re-housing thing is a big thing as for affecting it's value. It's still a 1978 JMP head.
  16. street team? aug 2004 start date? where does one get one of these street teams? I'd like one. They could be like a pack of winged monkeys I could send out to hunt down people who slag off our band, or nick my guitar leads.
  17. am ah playin' the geetar. Here's ma gear: ENGL Thunder amp Tokai Les Paul Charvel Telecaster Yamaha SG Boss Tuner Pedal Boss Line Selector + Marshall Shredmaster and a Big Muff, both of which are busticated. Started playing in 5th Year at School (before the internet!) am now 22, so about 7 years. I can play some tapping stuff, and some nice blues scale leads, but I prefer making up solos that fit the song, so to speak. Craig
  18. changes an unbalanced (i.e guitar) signal to a balanced one. A balanced signal doesn't degrade so much over long runs of cable. A DI box can also provide a ground lift, whihc can help stop ground hum. Probably.
  19. I maybe thought I'd get more, but I got enough to buy a new, better amplifier and have a couple of quid change left over.
  20. Don't suppose you guys need a band for sometime in August? Been a wee bit since we came up North, and we reckon Aberdeen wants us. Craig
