  1. Heard the demos- sweet. As i told Kenny when i heard them, for anyone who hasn't, Screaming Nebraska are the inevitable evolution of Lucas and before them Hauller (anyone remember them eh!!!). The words angular and melodic spring to mind. A must see gig just for these guy's, but for an added bonus you get Firstborn, Gloria Flaw, Make Her Cry and Seven Stone Lighter as well.
  2. Strung Out- Exhumation of Virginia Maddison Brand New- The Quiet Things..... Dillinger Escape Plan- Come To Daddy I Killed The Prom Queen- Roses, Postcards & Machine Gun Kisses " "- Death Certificate For A Beauty Queen Killswitch Engage- Rose Of Sharyn
  3. S'allright i just do it to piss him off.
  4. She's pursuing a singing career in Australia, or London i think, whichever college she gets into. It is a sad loss- although she wasn't on the first album she surely bolstered our live sound and added extra depth to our output. She will be on the new e.p though she's not escaping without doing some sort of recording for us. We will however be looking for a replacement for her at some point.
  5. Hi, Undertow are looking for any support slots that may be coming up in a couple of months time- i think you may have had a copy of our album "gallimimus-terminus" dropped off a while ago, but we can drop off another if need be. Cheers Phil
  6. Yep, twas inevitable that Aberdeens only no-genre-core band would eventually get their fingers out of their collective arses and start to do shit again!!! We still comprise of: Ross Buchan- Vocals/ Guitar/ Strings Phil Cairns (FromHerAshes/What Joshua Said)- Guitar/ E-bow/ Bass Simon Davies- Bass/ Vocals/ Jimmy Saville impressions Neil Schollay (Eric Euan)- Drums/ Guitar/ Vocals However, we've lost our Keyboard player (Lauren) and we are about to undergo a name change as well. We will also have an E.P out within the next few months which will be supported by a few local gigs, and this will be followed by our second album towards the end of the year. There are still copies of our debut album "Galllimimus-Terminus" available and these can be requested for around 5 from the website www.gallimimus-terminus.com , or by e-mailing Phil at fromherashes@hotmail.com Looking forward to berrating the general public with our schizophrenic soundz again.
  7. Mine's gotta be Dillingers cover of Aphex's come to daddy:headbang:
  8. Yeah there is a programme: Step 1: deal with the fact that you like stuff that your mates will take the piss out of constantly Step 2: feel proud that your musical tastes do actually represent individuality Still working on the rest
  9. I don't particularly like Eric Euan-their only saving graces are Shawn and Neil (bring back Vinyl Bill)- i think the Euan are a bit boring. P.S If Preemo is trying to get a reaction out of people just fucking ignore him eventually he'll get the point and shut the fuck up, or just fuck off. Nuff said.
  10. How come you're ashamed to be a fan of Jebediah?
  11. Hey forget bitchin about other bands. What bands do people really like but hate to admit to liking? I like; A-HA and Duran Duran (so sue me i'm grasping on to the 80's for dear life) Lene Marlin (she's so damn cute) ditto Avril Lavigne D-12 (new video is so funny- My Salsa he he he) I'm gonna think of more so watch this space. Oh just remebered- Justin Timberlake i fucking love him
  12. Nope. I don't understand they're on fuckin MTV ALL THE BLEEDIN TIME!!!!!! (i'm bored ok!! It's allright to watch MTV if you're bored- isn't it?) What's the scoop with Alexisonfire are they any good? And is it said Alexis on fire or Alex is on fire coz i don't want to loose any street cred if i mention them to anyone else!
  13. What the shittin hell is going on with this Rasmus crap that i keep fucking hearing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dunno i leave the freaking country for a couple of months and some industries bastards decided to wreck my happiness with what can only be described as a large basket of dogs cocks. Its not just the Rasmus though who's bloody responsible for unleashing McFly on the world!!!! I tell you the end is nigh when they start cloning bands like Busted!!!
  14. Albums pretty damn good, still not sure about Howard though- Jesse on the first album just sticks in my mind (he does backing vocals on the new album though- bizarre!!)
  15. Powderfinger suck!!! They're poor Pearl Jam imitations who nicked a Soundgarden riff and slightly changed the timing. I think Grinspoon have got a new album coming out. Machine Gun Fellatio have an absolutely awesome stage show involving copious amounts of boobage- however they are a bit too retro for me. 28 Days have just released a new album over in oz, a couple of months ago methinks, but they are just a corporate shadow of their much greater former selves. Just remembered more cool bands Daysend- trashcore and Parkway Drive- Shai Huludish hardcore . There are also tons of cool solo artists kicking about: Missy Higgins- ultra sexy piano playin chick Claire Bowditch- more piano, beautiful voice though Standard of music over there is ace, there are thriving and well recieved hardcore and punk scenes in all the big cities. Also the major country wide radio station, Triple J, is an alternative station where they play a wide variety of stuff ranging from death metal to blues & roots.
  16. When i was in oz i heard a couple of really cool bands, check 'em out if you can. I Killed the Prom Queen: Hardcore a la Avenged Sevenfold The Cat Empire: East coast Jazz-Hop Sunk Loto: Deftonesesque metal Something For Kate:Radiohead/R.E.M type stuff Beautiful Girls: Sweet Blues 'n Roots Bodyjar: Melodic Punk

  22. C'mon muthafuckas!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There must be more of you hardcore fanatics out there? Give me something to work with here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. Hello Peeps!!!!!!!!!!!!! In a few weeks the Chuggernaut will be back in the 'deen (it's all cool!) after my expedition to Australia. Not only will i be looking for somewhere to live- my parents couch being the only option at the mo, but i'll also be looking to start up a new band. Those of you who know me already know my pedigree, however, i wish to start a hardcore band- something along the lines of Shai Hulud, Dillinger Escape Plan and Converge (James i can sense you moistening already). I, myself wish to handle vocals and a wee bit of guitarage. But i need some willing band mates, another two guitarists (one to possibly handle a bit of vocal work), a bassist and also a drummer. Age/Gender not a problem. Anyone willing to give me a hand in either of the above, post on this thread and leave your e-mail address. Cheers Phil.
