Loud Poets
The Spoken Word Revolution is here: Loud Poets is a collective of poets who run monthly events in Glasgow and Edinburgh showcasing the best spoken word talent in Scotland and beyond, all accompanied by a live band! The rules are simple: no reading of paper or prompts, no introductions and no boring poetry! This is simply slam-style, make some noise, fist-thumping, side-tickling and heart-wrenching poetry, all blended t...ogether with comedy and music, Loud Poets promises to be a night to remember. Having started nights in Edinburgh & now Glasgow they were stars of the Edinburgh Festival 2015 & have in 2016 played a season at The Brighton Festival, The Prague Festival & in August return for a mammouth stint at The Edinburgh Festival, Aberdeen show will have the following line-up:-

Doug Garry
Catherine Wilson
Katie Ailes
Kevin Mclean
A.N. Other t.b.c. (has Aberdeen connections)
Loud Poets Band (t.b.c)

Depeche Choad
Are a very fine noise/humour/sock rock band who have developed a repertoire for making their audience hoot a loot, not like owls, or maybe that's just joining in. (see John Skelton for words) Although they apparently dislike cats, we always smile a lot when we see them live & life becomes a tad better with the afterglow of their show. Undoubtedly the best four piece band not to come from Stenhousemuir, they will be a perfect deflection in off Loud Poets, for a purrfect ten. "Seriously just a very fine band raising the roof in Aberdeen with their live shows, and recordings"
