Due to previous bassist leaving we are looking for a replacement. Band practices over near Huntly so preferably someone from around that area ....Huntly, Turriff Inverurie etc with own transport. We play mostly songs in Drop B ,Drop C so would likely need two basses. We have our own songs but also do some covers by various metal/thrash bands. Band members range from 26 to 46 so not worried about age (74 might be pushing it a bit though) . We've gigged a few times already but want to push on and do more as well as start recording what we have of our own. Cheers Rob

Well if your in the town it probably wont be easy for you since we plan on practicing in a hall ive found (pretty cheap and we have our own PA anyway) about 10 miles on the Aberdeen side from Huntly. We tried practicing at MV once but werent impressed with the sound and the drummer (fussy) prefers his own kit so we're not to keen on driving into the town hence the original post.

Well the singers 22, bassist 26 and me and the drummer are 45 / 43 ...were hardly a 'boy band' !

Second guitarist wanted for established metal band (been practicing for a year, done one gig....if thats what established means) to help beef up the sound and share soloing duties. Guitars are tuned to drop C and B (7 string). Have about 6 of our own songs and play a few covers as well. Only thing is we are mainly based in Keith and the Turriff/ Olmeldrum area with the aim to practice in a hall halfway so transport needed too. Influences ...Slayer, Machinehead, At the Gates...etc etc. Cheers.

Does anybody know if there are yearly Battle of the band competitions around Aberdeen or any coming up ? Cheers

Local band been on the go for about a year now and looking for gigs in Aberdeen whether it as a support or headline. We have about an hour and a half of covers and 5 of our own songs ranging from SOAD to Machinehead and other stuff. Have recently done our first gig and it went well.
