  2. We tend to practice 1-2 a week (evenings, usually tues and/or Thursday) and in the past we have gigged 1-3 a month. We tend to just manage things around work etc. where we can we try and fit everything in... But we work hard with the time we have. We do play out of town when opportunities come up, so sometimes this may be midweek or weekend. We tend to just head down and back in the same evening.
  3. Cyrus Rose are looking for a new bassist to join the band. You will be a confident, competent and creative musician, looking for an original band who practice and gig regularly. We have a bank of material recorded and we need someone who is not afraid to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in as we have been gigging regularly across the UK for a couple of years now and are in the middle of writing new material which will form part of our next recording project. Our Influences as a band are extremely varied and include, but are not limited to: Foo Fighters, Bon Jovi, Jimmy Eat World, Bruce Springsteen, Rise Against, The Script and Red Hot Chilli Peppers. We have our own private practice space and decent resources at our disposal, so this will be a great opportunity for a musician looking for a new band and a new challenge. You can find some of our music here: Or just look for us on Spotify, ITunes, Amazon etc and our album 'Granite & Light'. If you are interested, leave a message below or PM me.
  4. Last I heard from Gav at the venue, the evening was looking something like this: 10:30 - Close The Afghan Hounds 9:30 - 10:20 Cyrus Rose 8:45 - 9:15 Daydream Frenzy 8:00 - 8:30 Illegal Entry 7:20 - 7:50 Robbie Flanagan 7:00 - Doors Open All subject to tweaks if circumstances change I would imagine... Looking forward to seeing all the acts. It's going to be a good night of music and a great at to support and open a new music venue in Aberdeen.
  5. Haha... Erm.... Maybe...? Here was me thinking people would come see us for our musical talents.... How wrong was I?!
  6. Thanks for the kind words! We are actually playing on Friday night at opening night for 'Downstairs' the new music venue at the Malt Mill on Holburn Street... Bands from 7pm... Free entry.
  7. Everyone please use this new link: https://www.yousendit.com/download/UVJqYUlpZ2dsamZMbjhUQw Ross drop me a PM if you like what you hear or want any further details etc.
  8. Any more interest or takers? We are a very level headed and ambitious bunch with an American radio rock type sound. If you are a guitar player looking for something... What have you got to lose by checking out the tracks?
  9. We are an established band looking for a new guitarist. You will be hard working, committed and comfortable sharing lead/rhythm duties with the other guitar player. We have just finished recording our first full length album and we need someone to come in and hit the ground running, learning the material we have to date and committing to regular gigs and practices. I have included a link below to some demos from our recording sessions below: http://www.yousendit.com/download/UVJoWWVuQzNwM25MYnRVag

  11. Indeed. Although I believe that the stage issue has been sorted and is being provided by the Council. So it's bands and as much olympic and paralympic related 'stuff' that I can possibly bring together by Sunday.
  12. Does anyone know anyone who was lucky enough to take part in the torch relay for the Olympics? I am looking for someone willing to bring their torch to an Olympic event on Sunday 9th September.
