Notice Server upgrade

Due to increased traffic and load the current server that hosts the aberdeen-music web site will be "swapped out" for a new server this Saturday at 3am GMT. Downtime should only be between 30 - 60 minutes.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

i had wondered about the slowdown and server busy messages, the number of registered users showing up on the "whos online" thing doesn't seem to have shot up that much though....maybe this is a side effect of SEO?

Actually, the "Server too busy" messages were more down to a mis-configuration on my part that only got corrected today and so should now hopefully be a thing of the past.

However, in saying that, SEO is at least partially responsible for the increase traffic as there is a lot more indexing of the site by search engines taking place and this combined with a general increase in usage in the site (remember you can't see the users who have set themselves as invisible) is as good excuse as any to upgrade the hardware which is now over 3 years old.
