Notice New logo = new design

We have just recently had a new logo designed for the web site and so I've decided to use this as an excuse to produce a new look and feel for the web site as a whole. We've had the current blue colour scheme for a couple years now and so I think it's time to freshen things up a bit and give myself the opportunity to fix a few glitches and usability issues with the web site as well.

And this is where I need your help and feedback. If you could change anything about how the web site looks or works as it currently stands then what would you change and why? Do you have any preferences when it comes to design or colours? Could sections of the web site be re-arranged or even removed?

Any feedback would be most welcome!

Alternate skins would be great. I remember the orange one from a few years back.

I would like a "new posts" button at the top of the main page, it would save me hitting the "search" button first.

Hey, just one extra button to press at the moment, but I'm a lazy bastard.

This is quite an important part of the forum, and if new members are having difficulty finding it, maybe we should look at making it more prominent.

Different skins would be a really cool idea actually.

Definitely different skins, that'd be excellent.

the gig calendar anouncements thing is a mess. You should allow for a further remit than aberdeen. Maybe have on large overall calendar, but you can break it down by location i.e. forthcoming gigs in inverness + aberdeen + dundee or forthcoming gigs in aberdeen + montrose etc

might also be worth tying in with the message boards of the north and south. allowing a further remit as people from Aberdeen do travel to gigs outside aberdeen
