sigs aren't totally pointless.

more people are likely to notice when your band has a gig by looking at your sig rather than at the gigs forum.

this site is supposed to promote Aberdeen music, taking away sigs kinda seems to go against that idea.

I have to say I agree with many of the replies here but some of them are just attention seeking windups - as usual.

I think Neils move, albiet extreme, was fair. There are totally some people with sigs that were too big although personnally I would have posted a warning to all members about the size of sigs and see what they do rather than just taken them away. But at the end of the day, Neil is the boss so what he says goes.

My sig was a fair size. Sorry.

On a related point - the pages load much faster now. If folk want to promote gigs, why not use the gigs n announcements forum? Or set up a website and link to it from their Ab-mu profile?
