I'm looking to buy one

I'm after the HDMI input and at least a 60GB hard-drive... hence why I'm probably best just going for it.

Let me know if anyone is getting rid.

60gb and HDMI is standard now on the premium xbox, though you may need to buy the HDMI cable seperately. But you can pick up any HDMI cable to use with it (don't buy the overpriced official one).

You can get one for less than a tenner in game and it works more than splendidly.

You can get one from asda for about 2 quid. It's pretty short but it works fine. Am I missing something in these ones that are about 100 quid?

There's no reason really why it should matter as obviously you're just transfering 0s and 1s over it. There are things like error correction chips built into some of the more expensive ones that can solve clocking issues between bits of equipment but most people wouldn't notice that sort of thing. The leads themselves are made better, with better components and screening but at the end of the day most people don't care about that sort of thing these days.

I have seen some terrible sparkling on pictures using cheap HDMI leads though.

im selling an xbox 360 arcade (waits to be shot down for owning the basic one) it has an hdmi input but i dont have the lead, and you gould get a hard driver pretty cheaply off the net, cheapest ive seen are on ebay and amazon, lookin for £70 for the console if your interested?

Sadly MS charge you through the ass for additional memory, so it'd negate any saving made if i bought the basic console (even second hand).
Sorry... but good effort on the sales pitch.

The 360 Pro is looking like my baby... especially as they come with the HDMI cable to boot.

Obviously, working in IT, you meant hard drive capacity instead of memory.

You can buy HDMI cables off ebay for something like 1.50 + £1 postage.
and you could get a decent sized hard drive off ebay too. I had the core package (pretty much an arcade) and just bought everything i needed after. Bought wireless controllers etc off the net too.

Just a thought if it would save ya money

EDIT: Also before anyone says that the HD cables must be cack - i have two and can see no difference between the cable i spent 13 quid on and the ones i spent £2.50!
That is on a 720 TV so i dunno how they'd respond to the full HD.
