Or go into their profile and pick "user lists" - "ignore list"

haha i cant believe he got banned, takes them over 5 years to ban stripey for constant abuse, destroying theads and generally being a twat, take them 5 minutes to drop him for a few random posts.

As far as I recall, Stripey got two permanent bans and about half a dozen temporary bans during his time on this site. And it's hardly a few random posts, it was a concerted trolling effort over the last few days, as you well know as you've been taking part in it yourself. I think you should just keep quiet and keep your contributions sensible in future if you don't want to suffer the same fate.
