Default Read threads - 06-01-2007, 02:45

Usually when i would read a threads new posts it wold un-bold the title in the index but now it stays bold and its pissing me off

started happening 2-3 days ago

Yer I've noticed that too. Also normally when you exit the browser when you come back only new posts are bolded, but it's not updating itself or something.

i think if you press 'back' on the browser it doesn't mark the threads as read. apart from that i dunno... maybe if you were looking at dodgy porn or something then deleted your history, temporary files etc it would do that. or maybe it's a problem with the site if other people have the same problem... seems to be ok with me.

Every time you've finished reading the forums click Options then 'Mark Forums Read', next time you sign in it'll only show you posts from the last time you did that.

or use search->find todays posts- there's an indication of which posts haven't been updated since your last visit on that.

ok cheers that seems to have sorted it for now but why did it stop doing it automatically?

It still is doing it automatically, but your web browser is caching the pages. See for yourself - read a thread you haven't read before, go back and list the threads. It should still be bold - refresh the page - it won't be bold.

but how can that happen if im using 2 different computers? 1 of which hadnt visited abmusic until i was having problems
