Okay, has this problem just started occuring then? Say in the last few days or so? Maybe from Sunday?

I've changed a setting - has this fixed the problem?

Hmm...most mysterious. I think it's probably the vBSEO software I added to the web site on Sunday night that might be to blame but for the life of me I can't replicate this problem myself. I'll do some more digging...

Its also happening when I link to a thread from an email, its taking me to the start of the thread rather than the first unread post.

Err..I think that's the way it's supposed to work in that scenario.

I think I see what it is. If you haven't visited a thread in your current session, the system is going to automatically assume that the first unread post is #1, regardless of whether you've visited that thread in a previous session. If you go back to the thread in the same session and click on the "unread post" icon, it works as normal. Does this help, Neil?

No, always in the past when I get an email notification of a new post in a thread I was subscribed to, it quoted the post in the email and when I clicked the link it took me to that post and not the start of the thread.....when I clicked the link to this it took me to post 1.
