Nope. Nor will this ever be possible.

"alpha males" hahahahaha! I agree actually, you exhibit these traits in a typically animal fashion, and your inability to override these subhuman urges to the extent that you need someone else to put systems in place to control your own behaviour is very much like the senseless rage of, for example, a monkey.

The suggestions at the start of this thread are nonsense. People can decide for themselves if they want to ignore someone, most rational people are perfectly capable of simply choosing not to respond to a post that they don't like.

This is not directed at Cloud BTW.

Imagine that in real life you had this babbling idiot that followed you around everywhere, getting right in your face. Unless there was some way to block that person out, then you'd probably resort to a more physical approach. The problem here is that there is no way of effectively blocking that person out, and there are (usually) no other options, apart from leaving the forum, which many people appear to have done.

In real life people are more carful about what they say and how they behave. On here, someone that would normally shit their pants if you said boo to them, can act out their macho fantasies till their twisted little heart, or other organ, is content. I refer you back to my old sock example... but of course if anyone succeeds in dishing it back effectively they go crying straight to the moderators.

So IMO a properly functioning ignore facility would be of great benefit. Then everyone could ignore these trolls, and the foum would be a much happier place.

Posters on Aberdeen Music are in no way comparable to stalkers.

I fail to believe anyone can get as agitated by certain members of this site as to block them. I'd be more inclined to block out the useless posters like, say, Rainbowprincess or someone similar, who consistently post even when they have nothing to say.

I think that's his point, if you add "sensible" between "nothing" and "to"

Charmed I'm sure.

Surely that would be "nothing relevent to say", as opposed to "nothing to say" as obviously if I had nothing to say I wouldn't be posting in the first place. I'll be the first to admit that some of my posts can be irrelevant to the main part of a thread, but less often than most.

Just a thought.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion though, no skin off my nose.
