the boxes under people's names... just noticed there are now golden boxes that say supported ect. instead of just the words...

edit: i only mention it because they are ugly a s hell

I'm not keen on them, they look a bit..redundant?

Is the plan to remove the "regular member/supporter/etc" writing and replace them with the boxes?

Quite honestly...yes.

I'm not a huge fan of having graphics where text can do just fine, though.

Are you planning to put anything where the text was?
