It really shows how short life can be, one minute you're playing fooball, the next you're dead. It's a real shame that things like this happen, and there seems to be a few cases like this in recent years. My condolences to his family, as I'm sure they are as shocked as the rest of the footballing world.

RIP, this is a real shame. A decent wee player and a Motherwell fan I know thinks he was the perfect professional too, my thoughts are with his family.

Wonder how David Clarkson felt, watching his uncle collapse on the pitch.
