Don't you wish American businessmen would just fuck off and leave soccer alone? (.........or else invest heavily in the Dons ) They don't have a fucking clue. Not does Magnusson clearly. "Boost the Premier League's Global Profile?". What gash, it's fucking massive all over the world.....except in America where they make all their own sports up and don't, and never will, have an appetite for the beautiful game.

Eggert Magnuson has always seemed like a prick to me, and this comment confirms it. anytime West Ham were getting beat last season he'd be seen in the stand acting like Commidus in "Gladiator" - squirming with disbelief and frustration that his plaything was getting beaten. didnt celtic play chelsea in a pre season friendly in the US a couple of years ago? and they had the asia cup pre season featuring 3 premiership teams so dont see why they cant play some pre season stuff over there.

This talk of the beautiful game is nonsense,its all about money no matter what how you look at it.Chairmen of top teams these days dont care bout history of the game,its all about getting folk through the turnstyles and getting big tv contracts.

Of course seeing your beloved team play games competitive in America is not something you want but it will happen.

I think that football is going the way of American sport pretty quickly outside the UK.If you look at spanish football especially,real madrid buying big name players as a franchise essentially is much like the US of A

My point may not be in there at this point in time,might be the booze but i will get there.
