Haha! Caley were my coupon buster day (for £300 win). Had that as a draw...

Oh well. I'll take the three points.

How bad is Touzani that Byrne and Mair get a game before him? And again what's with this Clark nonsense? Some weeks JC has moments of genius but we then have to watch another 6 wks of drivels for it to come around again. Apologies, I'm still aghast at gettin our asses badly whooped two games in a row. I also see Langfield is starting to slip up more due to having shed more work to do and no confidence in the men in front of him... Struggle to be in the top six at this rate!

JC also said that new players coming in will rely on ticket sales at Todders improving, fat chance of that changing now.

There, I feel slightly better now. Still disgusted though.

Celtic are a much better team than Aberdeen, any result at Celtic Park would've been pure luck. You got beaten by a team that are a league ahead of you squad depth and player quality-wise, it's not the end of the world.

You will get shafted by Atletico in Madrid though, no questions.

There just isn't the money behind Aberdeen to give the squad the required depth needed to cope with competing on the European circuit and in the league as well. The players are spread too thin and there is little in the way of European experience in the current squad. They've done well to get as far as they have but i doubt they will be building on that success with another stint in the same competition next season. Not unless they sneak in via the Euro Vase or whatever it's called these days.

I'm all for Dundee Utd's players commitment in our current games but they need to cap the rash challenges in the box. I view today against Hibs as points dropped, a real grasping at a draw from the jaws of victory scenario. We need a good quality striker in the January transfer window as well. While Hunt is good and Jordan Robertson has the trappings of an inspired loan signing, there is no depth to our attack. I mean, having to put Wilkie up front when Daly was taken off injured (again, fucking sicknote ) is ridiculous.

Montrose did me out of £120 this afternoon by not beating the gypo scum. Bah!

I had to settle for watching Cove Rangers playing a bunch of students this afternoon. Thankfully they won, even though they left it to the last minute.

Allan Park is now a front-runner in the race for 'Bovril Of The Season'. Long way to go, mind.

the revelation jimmy quinn has brought to cambridge united is a lesson a lot of bosses could learn. we have much less a budget than many of our blue square premier rivals yet at the moment sit third in the table and looking a good bet for the play offs at worst. what he has done has moulded a great team spirit, getting in the right kind of players for the job. in fact its very similar to what firstly walter smith and now alex mcleish have done with the scotland national side. 9 times this season cambridge have been behind and got a result.

unbelievable to think that less than a year ago 99% of cambridge fans wanted quinn sacked (we lost seven on the trot) but thats football so unpredictable as any player of footy manager will know!!!

I don't think it's the defeat, but the manner of the defeat (and the one against Hearts) that is hard to take. Last season we were losing to Celtic by a single goal, this season it's by 3 and could have been more.

I don't think we have a worse squad and I don't think Celtics is 3 goals better. Just our defence has suddenly forgotton what it's job is.

these last 2 or 3 games is the first time ive really thought we've missed russell desperately. i hope we play Diamond and Considine as the centre backs on thursday though - as much mistakes as considine can make i think he will shine as much as anyone of our players possibly could against the quality we are going to come up against.

as the above poster said, its not so much the 3-0 defeat thats disapointing, its the manner of it. hopefully its just one of those mid-season slumps and we'll get out of it before we realise it.

madrid countdown: 4 days til arrival (3 days 13 hours actually i think) x x x x x x x

JC saying that if some members of the team don't play well then they need to be sitting on the bench or in the stand. So how come he doesn't follow through with the repeat culprits?

I'm still venting. I didn't expect Aberdeen to win yesterday but a good fight and display the same as that against Dundee would have been good. GET TOUZANI IN THE TEAM REGULARlY and Considine back in. The too few times I have seen Touzani play he looks like the kind of player we need and Considine has a few errors here and there but him and Zander fill me with more confidence and are building a good partnership. Better than fumbling mess we have at the moment.

I'll try and let it lie now.
