"Soiree” - noun : an evening party or social gathering, especially one held for a particular purpose : a musical soiree.

The 4th installment of Soiree is almost upon us. The creative social simply aims to please - providing the perfect mix of booze, beats, visuals and dance - it's bound to become a regular date to note on your calender.

The night begins in Five with Giles Walker and Mini Klaus on beat duty, and M.O.C providing visual wizardry VJing around the venue between 9pm and 1am. The night moves down to Snafu between 11pm and 1am, running until 3am with a special guest DJ slot from those naughty Edinburgers - the TROUBLE DJs. Remember and pop down to Five, for free entry to the Soiree afterparty with a special stamp that you'll get by speaking to the DJs in Five very nicely. Otherwise, you'll have to pay to get in!

An Edinburgh based club night and gig promoter, spreading enthusiasm for music across the globe for 7 years now. Along the way they have picked up recognition from BBC Radio 1's Gilles Peterson.

The music at Trouble can be anything from across the 'black' musical spectrum to the output of all the white 'brothers and sisters' who feel the funk and have got a good groove. This includes the classic dub, reggae, soul, funk, jazz, Afro, Latin and disco of the Seventies, early hip hop, electro, boogie and house from the Eighties, the stand-out dance moments of the last decade and the most exciting, upfront new nuggets, whether in hip hop, R n B, dancehall, soul, broken beat, jazz, house, techno, Brazilian or drum n bass. They're very open-minded about what they play.

You can be sure the Trouble crew will ensure a top night of good music, good people and unstoppable dancing, which won't be forgotten fast.
