DIRTY HEARTS CLUB PRESENTS HEARTBREAK WITH A&E LINE AND DHC DJS // THURSDAY 26TH FEBRUARY // SNAFU



If you ever wondered what the 80s might sound like today, then have a listen to Heartbreak. The Argentinean and British/French duo cite the likes of Black Sabbath and Italo Disco as their main influences, so it comes as no surprise that the pairs style of music has been coined as ‘metallo’. Sebastian and Ali, who are based in London, abuse their powerful synth-pop to not “merely embrace the absurd, but thoroughly transcend it”. With their debut album "Lies", which has received 10/10 from Vice Magazine, the disco twosome are becoming popular, with rave reviews in many a music magazine and playing at electro nights, art parties and festivals as well as dates with The Presets, the pair are taking disco to new dizzy and glittering heights. Their live shows have been described as “devastating”, “intoxicating” and “sensational”, in a way that will make you dance with your eyes full of tears, and it's only when you do see their raw and passionate live sets that one can fully appreciate what Heartbreak have to offer. Decked out in their trademark white linen suits and self-assurance the Angelo-Argentinean double act bash out refurbed early 80s synth-pop melodrama, described by NME as a “no-holds-barred, unapologetic assault of heart wrenching emotion and dance floor flamboyance”. Tipped to be one of the hottest disco acts around at the moment, and championed by Aphex Twin and Vitalic, it seems that the pair are here to stay. Everyone needs a little bit of Heartbreak in their lives.
