Me and a mate are looking for a place to practice and stuff as the noise levels are getting a bit too much in our flat! Needs to have electricity obviously and in be the AB24/Aberdeen uni area as we don't have a regular source of transportage. Leave a post here if you can help us, cheers.

That seems like one hell of a tall order. You'd be cheaper using Toms anyway, surely?

Um, dunno - I have a feeling it would be hard to practice there for a few hours each night 5 times a week, cause thats what we realisticly wanna do.

These kind of places are snapped up in an instant, I'd be very surprised if you get anything but good luck none the less............

Looks like i've solved the problem, just realised that my flat has a garage lol. Silly owner didn't tell me. The only problem is that it doesn't have any electricity, however i'll just run an extension cable out i think. Yey! Now i just have to get lights, drumkit, heater, carpet, fridge......

Can anybody give me some tips/advice on how to set up a garage into a good practice space?
I know I need to get some sort of PA system, soundproof it a tad and get some lights. Anything else that i have missed out?

if you get a heater, you're only allowed to get one of those ones with the gas in the back and the three panels on the front that you spark up so that the fumes make you feel sick. that breeds strength and creativity.

Make sure it's got a damn good lock on it. Eh... posters of nude ladies... big box of crisps... bucket in the corner. Maybe an anti-moany neighbour dog?
