My mum & dad's apartment is in Mojacar old village....we are meant to be going here for 2 weeks 17th Aug - Depressed!

what a bummer, i just came back from the med. the temperatures on my last week shot up into the mid 40's and they were bracing for a severe heatwave.

Is your parents apartment destroyed?

No it's ok (thank feck). Their apartment is up in the peublo which the fire didn't quite reach. We might have a clean up operation when we get there if there has been loads fo ash etc tho

There hasn't been rain for 3months, so hoping a little falls before we head over!

pretty doubtful you will get rain before then. Prob won't see any rain till October over there.

You might get these huge bloody flying ants there that are spreading through Europe just now. Things the size of a 50p. Horrible looking things.
