Except that NZ uses BMI as the means of determining obesity. A measurement only acceptable for a narrow range of body types.

Which also kind of fucks anyone with polynesian or sub-continental genetics from the outset. Funny that NZ has always had a bit of an issue with letting-in darkies.

To be fair she is a bit of hefty lass. Obviously NZ is concerned about their hobbit livestock population being decimated overnight.

Doesn't New Zealand have a socialised healthcare system?

Why shouldn't a country stop someone who has a higher chance of developing medical conditions (because of their life choices) from entering the country?

i don't know, i think it's a good idea. Imagine how much better off the UK would be if everyone was a healthy weight. I feel sorry for the fatty. Isn't that fatism? Is there any legislation against fatism?

No, although not as bad as Austrialia, NZ's record on institutional & actual racisim is not that good. Particularly where non-white immigration is involved. Although it has been whumped at the polls recently, the avowedly anti-immigration & race-issue obsessed "New Zeland First" party still remains the third largest in their parliament.
