The development should have gone ahead. However it was voted against and will not go ahead. This decision was not like by many but Cllr Ford should not have been sacked because of it. If they reverse the eventual outcome bye bye Scotland i'm off to live Elsewhere

Councillors are making these important planning decisions because we live in a democracy. If people don't like what there councillors do then they are accountable and can be removed. The planners give their professional opinion, but ultimately the final decisions are taken by elected representatives.

It's called "representative democracy". Maybe you were off ill the day it was done in 1st year Modern Studies.

There was no reason for this to be brought before parliament-the SNP are just attempting to send a positive message to other big businessmen. Nevertheless, I hope that the right decision is reached during the public inquiry in June and that this fragile ecosystem is protected from the fascist Trump organization.
