see that record of the year nonsense last night on itv?
fuckin' things like this are tough enough to stomach most the time but this really got my goat....see the winners? fuckin' westlike singing a manilow song.....????? HOW THE FUCK IS THAT RECORD OF THE YEAR?!?!?!?!? funny how its currently at no.3 and christmus looms......ooh it makes me sweat with rage....i'll go now...

Yeah, s'funny how all of a sudden a few weeks before Christmas ITV decides to give music programming primetime slots... payola anyone? Don't mind if I do...
So they win again, as the BeeGees might say. Thought Busted might come from behind on the jowly Irishmen this year. Now that would be primetime viewing to watch.

it was an appaling show of popular public taste it has to be said, and i think the fact that westlife with a piss poor kareoke version of a piss poor barry manilow record sums the whole thing up.

I can't believe they won either. How the hell can that be record of the year?!? I think it was all a con...because they seem to win every year and no-one else seems to get a chance which is a shame for the other acts.

Erm, of course it's a fucking con! It's a big advert! 'Record Of The Year' is a made up award, created a couple of years ago by the record companies when they realised they weren't getting enough primetime TV airtime for their cashcows. It's designed to squeeze that extra bit out of the market for Christmas.
