This is a proven fact.
Several bottles of Newcastle Brown Ale mixed with a few shots of Absinth followed by a 4-cheese pizza absolutely guarantees George A Romero style nightmares. Which is fine is one is in the mood for that.

However, my conscious mind was tricked by my unconscious - in past dreams I've taken my Dad there for a pint and spotted Dr Who's new assistant and the guy who played Eddie Royle in 'Eastenders' drinking in there. Last night I took a girl with long blonde hair there who thought it was great but wondered why there was a teddy bear machine by the bar. I looked and sure enough where usually there would be a bandit or a quiz machine there was a vending machine selling teddies. Anyway, this girl said I could sleep at here flat and took me back there where I slept in her spare room - a rosewood four poster bed with cream sheets - very tasteful - there was also a bay window overlooking massive gardens like those in a stately home. Anyway, in the morning I went through to the front room to find Morrissey asleep on the sofa. I quizzed the girl about it and she said, "Oh, he's my flatmate - you were in his room."
Any amateur dream analyists care to have a go at that?!
Sounds like you could be pregnant with Morrisseys lovechild....?

I reckon Frosty's analysis sounds quite accurate.

The car is moving in the dream, not at any extreme speed but just travelling. I'm not sure if that has any relevance.

hmmmm I think its a lot deeper than that

were the windscreen wipers on, off, or on intermittent mode?

did you notice anything unusual about the markings on the road?

did you drive past a deserted B&Q superstore?

im quite concerned.....

I've experienced dreams where I have the ability to smell, taste and touch, or at least a simulation of those senses, and always in black and white.

The dreams I have that are in vivid colour often involves dead relatives (particularly an uncle I was close to and my brother who died at the age of 7 when I was only six months old), insects and arachnids (I do happen to have an irrational fear of spiders).

A few weeks ago I had a nightmare that involved the brutal death of my father. When I woke from this, it did take a while to realise it was only a that; a nightmare. But the anguish and the sense of loss I experienced was really overwhelming. A cup of coffee and a cigarette later I was calmed down. A few weeks later my dad was working on his garage roof, lost his footing on the ladder and fell down it flat on his back giving himself a bruised back and shoulders and mild concussion. Lucky to be alive if you ask me, but was that nightmare of mine a premonition? I don't know.

You have recently started wondering whether your life has reached its plateau. While you are quite happy with your current situation, part of you is thinking that you always saw the possibility for more. When you were younger you felt you had the potential to be very successful, famous even. Now you're realising that this may be your floor. Maybe you have now fulfilled your actual worth, or even exceeded it. It's not a problem, but your mind is wondering what might have been. You're happy with your current profession, but perhaps worry about what other people think of it, and whether you could go any further.

No such thing as premonition dreams.
You are an adult with responsibilities, and act accordingly, but you don't particularly feel adult. Part of you still feels like a child playing at being a grown up. I'd guess you have a fairly immature sense of humour, but you feel like that side of your character is being pushed farther and farther back into history. You don't like facing up to adulthood, but you give the impression you do.

I always have strange dreams after drinking wine. Unfortunately I never seem to remember them for very long.

Wipers = Off. Road resembled the bleak road between Laurencekirk and Dundee. Didn't drive past any building or landmarks to my recollection.

Hrmmm....

Im not sure if the smaller details are as significant as the general theme. From what Iv read cars in general represent the "journey" of life. where we are heading etc. dreams of cars and travelling can tell us a lot about how we see our lives /the direction we are taking. (I think)!
hope that makes sense.
