Those that have been regulars to this forum will know the coming week is my least favourite of the year. I hate Halloween (never had it when we were kids and I'm glad) and I really hate bonfire night (what is it about anyway? Really? Come on, it's that primal urge people seem to have to set things on fire which I could never understand, especially after seeing people burned alive in front of me when I was 12)... but how do youse all feel? Let's take Halloween first...

Hallowe'en? Can't abide it and I hate fancy dress parties anyway.
Bonfire Night - what is the point? Why celebrate a failed attempt to blow up Parliament and a regicide to boot, and then turn it into a celebration for a patsy who was haung, drawn and quartered? (Nasty experience with a firework once - being clever little kids, we managed to dissect a rocket and mix it's parts with the gutted body of a battery of sonic booms. End result loss of colur vision for a 6 week splel and a perforated eardrum! Lucky? You bet!)
Christmas and New Year - let's not get in to it.

love halloween, never saw the point in bonfire night. think it's even more pointless that the city yokels feel the need to set of fire works for the 4 weeks around bonfire night.

Halloween means not a jot to me but I do like Guy Fawks night because it's my birthday and this year I'll be celebrating it at the Tanned Tin festival in Castellon in Spain.

Guys,

Hallowe'en is a good laugh in my opinion
Good excuse to weild swords/lightsabers and get into clubs without having to dress nicely - not that moshulu/bassment has much of a code but you know what I mean

And for your information Guy Fawkes is about....well, Guy Fawkes. Guy that ried to blow up parliament with a load of gunpowder? "Remember, remember the 5th of november gunpowder treason and plot" lol. Had that drilled into me at primary school
