Musings on The Strokes and Rachel Stevens...
Bizarre. I heard the nu Strokes single yesterday and it starts off in full B52s wig-out mode and sort of drunkenly stumbles into something else, like someone is shooting Tranquilizer darts at the Cramps but they are trying to finish the song before being dragged to a bearpit and gangraped by a deathcult of Nazi dwarves.
...And to boot, Rachel Stevens is coming over all Suzi Quatro (Now there's an image to conjur with) in her latest song, even namechecking 'Can The Can' just in case we didn't get the reference.
